  1. What I like to do is wake up around 8 or 9 and I take a couple Protein pills with a bite of cottage cheese. Then I go to the gym, come home weigh myself (when you are the lightest) and shower. Then I make my yummy Protein shake. It is at least 30 g of protein in one meal. I put 5 ice cubes in my magic bullet then about a cup of 1% milk which adds alot of protein, then about a teaspoon of Peanut Butter, half a banana, and 1 scoop of slim fasts Protein powder mix in chocolate. Then I make sure I get some almonds and cashews cottage cheese deff some lean meat for dinner.
  2. Yea that gas they pump into u last awhile! It will go away take gas x it helps
  3. Hey girl, I am a nursing student and got my surgery in May it did take a couple weeks for me to totally heal but with our program u don't do any patient care right in the beginning of the year I think you should have time to heal fully. I also started a job as a CNA about 2 or 3 weeks after my surgery so its doable.
  4. its from not getting enough protein, u are starving ur body
  5. get a barium swallow to make sure nothing happened
  6. This happens to me atleast every other day I love bread too much! If u wanna get rid of it fast drink a bunch of water bend over and it usually comes right up I know its gross but it better then 2 hrs of agony
  7. Hey all I was in a similar situation. I had my surgery may 16th, and lost 10 lbs the first 2 weeks and didnt really lose anything until my first fill and even after that I only had lost 3 lbs til my next fill so 3 lbs in 4 weeks! I have a 10 cc band and currently have 3 cc's in and have lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks and feel a ton of restriction just play with it get ur sweet spot. You will get there don't lose faith and stay healthy that crappy food is what got us here remember
  8. with my first fill, I didn't feel much restriction at all but he only put in 2cc's and after the first couple of days I did notice that I wasn't ever really hungry and I did start sliming when I would eat starch items. I just got my second fill this week and he put in another cc so a total of 3cc's and I have alot more restriction and find it almost impossible to eat bread at all. I haven't been feeling great since this one and am never hungry but I have lost 3 lbs since monday :wink2: and everyday I feel alil better and am able to eat alil more. But everytime I eat I do have an uncomfortable feeling and have to burp ALOT!
  9. My doctor says bread and starchy foods are horrible and are a major cause of "sliming"
  10. Hey for anyone who didn't hear this little tip like I didn't!!1 Apparently they fill you up with gas during the operation, so get some gas x or Rolaids for gas but make sure u can chew them!!! These will be a life saver!!!!
