Thanks for the tip. I am thinking I want to be close to home and there is Dr. Fox in Tacoma. They have a deal for $12,800 but does not include pre op costs. also will need a bit for time off work as I have already used most of my vacation.

I hope you don't mind, but I am curious as to what self pay people are paying in monthly payments. I am trying to get an idea as to what the monthly cost will be. When I contacted my credit union for a $20,000 loan it was over $500 a month. That may be too much for my budget to handle at this time and insurance is a no so I must self pay. thanks :help:

I checked with my insurance (Aetna PPO) and they say no no no. So, I am looking to self pay. So far checking into monthly payments has me thinking of Mexico because of the costs, although I would prefer to do locally. Thanks for the hello's and I am reading.

:help: Hello everybody. Just joined the forum and am wondering what to do next. I feel I really need this to get my health under control. I have been reading different posts and have seen some that are simular to my situation. I am 6'4" and currently at 310 pounds, I am diabetic taking four to five shots a day but supposedly type two, I have in the past taken off some weight and my blood sugars go way down so that I don't even need shots. I live in Port Orchard Washington and I am looking for A place close to home that is fairly affordable. Just watched the video I got in the mail from the Surgical Weight Loss Clinic in Tacoma.
