just got the period so it didnt happen this month - but i'm glad my period came right on time - hopefully that means my cycle is getting back to normal since i've come off bc..... we'll see if anything happens this cycle...

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I tried taking a preg test this morning, but the last one I had in the box didnt work... So I might try again this afternoon. I guess anything could happen, but I dont have my hopes up yet

My husband and I are ttc. I've been off bc about a month. My periods were irregular before going on bc, since I have lost more than 50lbs and I thought maybe they would be more regular now. When I came off bc I had my period for 10 days (Nov 1-10). I have been super moody and tired lately and have to pee all the time... I took a test in hopes last week, but it was negative...I don’t know if it's in my head. Could I be preg this soon? How long did it take for others to conceive?

I was just banded a couple weeks ago. Dr. Shen is great. He is very knowledgeable and breaks things down so they are easy to understand. I also appreciated, he only made 4 small incisions instead of the 5 he typically does - he said he tries to do the least amount if he doesn’t need to. Everything is healing up, and I'm really glad I worked with the bariatric department at Emerson - they are a wicked nice group of people. :w00t:

Ugh th is is a personal topic! I was banded 8/12... and I have been to the ladies room every 15mins for the past three days. I am staying hydrated but I feel like it makes it worse!! Tomorrow I'm am on the second stage of my diet, pudding and soups - hopefully that helps somehow!!!! I dont know what else to do, I am planning on returning to work tomorrow too...

Hi, I am 22. I had my surgery Wednesday 8/12. When I came out of sugary I was in a lot of pain but they quickly gave me meds and I felt OK that day and the next day at the hospital. I went home the following day and slept mostly, I was pretty uncomfortable for Friday and Saturday. Sunday I had the runs all day, I couldn’t keep anything in me!!! I felt hot and dehydrated. And Sunday afternoon I started getting weird twitching in my jaw – like it was locking up. It was the most uncomfortable weirdest thing – finally it subsided but then came back like an hour later about 100x worse – so my husband took me to the er and they knew right away it was from my anti-nausea meds! They gave me Benadryl and it went away in a couple minutes – but what a scare!!!!!!! So today is Monday and I am feeling better, my husband is back to work today so I am on my own. I actually feel pretty good today – I have been regretting my decision for surgery this week – but I know its gets better!. I already lost 25 Pre Op and since Wednesday another 13lbs! So that’s at least good news. I am just looking forward to having more strength and being able to get out of the house and back to work and my normal routine, I’m hopping that will come with the next stage of foods where I can have creamy soups and yogurt – I am only on clear liquids and protein drinks right now…. Cant wait for a few more weeks to go by and see how I’m feeling…

I had surgery on Wednesday the 12th - I was in so much pain on the 13th after I cam home, I slept most of the day and the next - mostly like in my chest/throat almost like it felt like i was going to hicup and it was painful. Today I am finally feeling better. I have just been really nauseous - so my doctor prescribed some anti nausea meds and told me to get off the liquid perkiest... so I am just on the liquid Tylenol and anti nausea meds. I have been walking around my apartment, but havent felt strong enough to go outside, today I think I will... But I'm not sure wht I'll do for a bra... I tried one on yesterday and it layed right on one of my dressings... so I'll se what I can do on that. Just looking forward to each day getting a little easier...

4 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought 1 week was a long time... My husbands going to be dying hahaha.

I am going for my first info session tonight at Worcester Medical Center, and I have Fallon Select Care. It sounds like there are a lot of required sessions? Is it normal to take 6 months from initial consultation to actual surgery? I am so anxious to get started, it seems like all my appointments are so far out. So you have to take 6 classes, 2 nutritional appointments, lose 5-10% and then fallon insurance has to approve, and thenn you schedule surgery? Is that how it works? I'm just trying to figure it all out... Thanks!
