  1. :think Well, I was in day surgery on Monday, the 31st. Had the IV in my hand; feet pointed toward the OR when the anesthesiologis asked me if I'd ever had a heart attack or any heart problems. I said No. It seems, he said, that my EKG was abnormal and he thought I should see a cardiologist. So, my band has been postponed. WAAAAA!!!!! I'm seeing the cardiologist on Thursday, the 10th. Hopefully, this guy will read it quick and say, Oh, yeah, you have a heart murmur. DUH! I TOLD YOU THAT ON MONDAY!!!! I was sooooo disappointed, but figure it happened for a reason. So, please move me from the July band crew to August (hopefully). Will keep you po

  5. Hi Monica. My niece had similar slow weight loss for about 6 months after her band. She then found out that she had a leak, after repair, she melted away. She's lost 110 lbs in 2 years. Hang in there.
  6. Hello All. How do I join the Gone for Good Club for July. I'm being banded on the 31st. Can't wait; not at all nervous (yet). Thanks. Doris
  7. Surgery is scheduled for July 31; pre-op is on the 25th. They tell me then when to show up. I am taking the first two weeks of August off to recover. Looking forward to this. Can't wait to be at a healthy weight again. This time for good......

  9. I read that your body does give off a different odor (especially breath and urine) as you're body is processing food differently. I may be wrong. Follow the link below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketosis
  10. I will be banded on July 31 and am on the count down. New_Bander Augusta, ME Dr. McKee Augusta Surgical Associates

  12. I just got my surgery date (July 31st) and I'm having second thoughts. I've never been married but I can imagine it might be the same kind of second thoughts and nervousness. I'm sure this is normal and many of you experienced the same thing. Words of encouragement please.
  13. My appointment today went as expected. I was hoping to get a date within 2-3 weeks, however, the hospital is scheduling for August. I guess it's not supposed to happen until then for a reason. Patience is the key. It will happen. Donnie went to the appointment with me. Dr. McKee showed him the band and explained how it's placed. I have an appt. with PCP tomorrow to talk about scripts, especially something for the migraines.

  15. Hello All. I also live in the Augusta area. Dr. McKee is working with me. I had my pre-op visit today; and will be scheduled for surgery sometime in August. I started this process back in January (remember the snow storm the night of the seminar at the Senator?) I was there. Maybe you were there too. I'd like to know who you are. Maybe we've even talked at the Support Group meetings. Doris
