  1. Yesterday I had this weird hiccup and then chest pain and was nauseous all day. Now today, I am really tired because I didn't sleep well and every time I yawn I get a sharp pain in the center of my chest. Anyone experience this?
  2. LMAO. Thank you. It has been a long time since I have looked in the mirror and was happy with myself. Hopefully, this journey will improve that self-image for me.
  3. Thanks guy! You have all been very helpful. I have spoken to my husband about it again and hopefully things will improve. And thanks for the compliments about me being beautiful. I def need some work, but I once was. :cursing:
  4. So I had this weird hiccup and then chest pain in the center of my chest that has turned into a dull ache. I hadn't eaten in hours, so it wasn't food. Now, I keep getting nauseous for like 3-4 minutes then it goes away for 3-4 minutes and comes back, Over and over. I haven't vomited, but I feel like I have to. I called my surgeons office and they don't answer and don't return the phone call cause there unorganized. I am in the process of getting in to see a new WLS for follow up and when I called that office they said they can't direct me over the phone what to do because I haven't been seen by them yet. Has anyone had this? Any suggestions?

  6. Thanks girls. Fortunately, I know he isn't leasing the place she is living in. She knows the people that own the house behind the house we own, and she moved in with them. It is a young guy and his girlfriend, who are friends of hers. Which just makes me more suspicious because now she's litteraly a fence away from us. Their backyard faces ours. The girl is a total sweet heart and has a boyfriend who is a complete jerk. My husband is twenty seven and a really good lucking guy, so I'm afraid that she's taken an interest in him. I always joked about it with him before and called her his girlfriend and now this came up. I'm really nervous about it.
  7. Thank you. I will try and talk to him about it again. I understand what you mean, and he probably doesn't realize it.
  8. Ok, I posted this in the Men's Room asking their advice, but I think I need the ladies too. My husband cheated on me the first couple of weeks we were dating, years ago. He came clean when we started getting serious and has not done it again, that I can tell. I had my suspicion about him back when we were first dating and they were confirmed when he admitted it. We've now been married nearly 4 years, and have two beautiful children. Yesterday, I went to pick up my kids from daycare and their provider and I always chit chat. She made a joke about how my husband was text messaging her daughter (who also works at the daycare) the other night and asking how she liked living on her own now (she recently got her own place) and how she was doing? She said it as if I knew, and I played along. I went home and asked my husband and he really didn't have a good answer for me. Just that he was being nice because she takes care of our kids. HELLO! She's a twenty one year old, college student, that is skinny and blond and perfect! I got banded two weeks ago and he has been acting strange ever since. Do you think I should be suspicious?
  9. Ok guys, sorry for invading your Men's Room, but I am a woman who needs some input. My husband cheated on me the first couple of weeks we were dating, years ago. He came clean when we started getting serious and has not done it again, that I can tell. I had my suspicion about him in the beginning. We've now been married nearly 4 years, and have two beautiful children. Yesterday, I went to pick up my kids from daycare and their provider and I always chit chat. She's a twenty one year old, college student, that is skinny and blond and perfect! As a guy, do you think I should be suspicious?
  10. Congrats Jennifer! I bet you are really excited about finally pushing along the process! Keep us updated on how it goes?
  11. I love the crystal lite slurpies! I think they are the best ones and just a bonus they are ok to drink!
  12. How many cc's does your band hold? If you have the standard I believe it is ten cc's. How are you feeling when you? Do you feel full? Are you able to hold foods down? That is what really matters. If not, call the office back and discuss that with them.
  13. Hey. I was banded on the 21st of May and having the same problem! It's not just you. It's completely normal. I have gained 2 pounds back and am watching it like a hawk. I had to tell myself only to weigh in 1 time a week and to allow more calorie intake because my body is storing all the fat because it thinks its starving.
  14. Anyone use Dr. Coon that can give me some great information on him? I had surgery already, but am switching doctors. I want someone reliable, honest, and readily available.
  15. I never even thought about that. I guess I just relate everything to the band! It just felt really weird in the center of my chest too.
  16. I ate less than my eighteen month old child does...he eats two of those sometimes. How odd....I'm still getting the pain under my right side of my rib cage and it hurts to turn at the waist....
  17. I too am a May 21st bandster. Things are great. I'm down 18lbs since surgery day and am feeling wonderful. Started doing nightly walks with my dogs and still on mushies. I think I will do it alittle longer than recommended, only because I noticed the transition from liquid to mushie slowed weight loss. I am sure going to solids will cause every slower weight loss! Plus I am kinda loving my oatmeal, egg beaters, and broccoli cheese soups!
  18. I was eating oatmeal today and now I have this pain in the middle of my chest the extends to under my ribs. I barely ate one of the small children's pouches of it and didn't have anything to drink within 30mins before and after. What's the pain from? Anyone else experience this?
  19. My husband took me out to celebrate my first fifteen pounds down and I was also on mushies. I did the broccoli cheese soup and a plane baked potatoe. I put three tablespoons of the soup on the potatoe and munched it down. I even had the rest of the soup for lunch the next day! It was great!
  20. That is amazing! Congrats and awesome job on all your hard work! Keep it up.
  21. I know the feeling! I think a lot of does have to do with confidence and how you portray yourself. I met my husband and I was overweight then as well. Not as much now, but I was about 175lbs and 5'11''. My husband is four inches shorter than me and has a six pac and arms to go with it. I def didn't think he would talk to me. Our friends were talking and I let my sense of humor and personality shine through. I guess he fell in love instantly because he propsed 3 weeks later and we were married 7 months after that. It's been four years and two kids and we're happy as can be. I have put on 65 lbs and he still loves me and tells me I have the greatest smile and best senses of humor and he's sad that I will lose all the weight because I don't have an ass when I do. heh. You will find the one that sees beyond the weight and sees you. I promise!
  22. I have Tricare and my process was a bit difficult. Mainly because my surgeons office made it that way. Once I got all the information to Tricare I was approved in 3 days. I had a BMI of 36.4 and elevated blood pressure. Nothing else. Of course I documented my knee pain (which results from sports but could have been weight related) and back pain (from sports as a child as well) but could have been from weight. I started the process on 4/25/09 and was banded on 5/21/09. I'm a week and a half post op now. Good luck!
  23. I do the Slim in 6 video at home. I love it. And they are simple exercises but at the end of the video you are really tired and the next day you can really feel it. Before I had my kids I did them and got toned with lean muscles and great stomach and was in a six 6 at 5'11''. Looked great. Then came the babies. Lol. Good luck!
