  1. I have had the same thing happen to me. I was doing great with the lap band. 50 lbs in 5 months. one day last October, I swallowed a drink of water and it felt like I swallowed a golf ball. After that every time I ate anything it would cause severe pain in the bottom of my stomach. I thought it had slipped. My surgeon has been trying to adjust it ever since then. right now i only have 3 1/2 cc in and that's all I can stand. any more fluid and it hurts so bad I can't eat anything except broccoli and cheese soup and oatmeal. I have had a barium swallow study done that didn't show a slip and just had an egd this week that showed a healing ulcer in one spot and another ulcer or irritation. I am waiting to see my surgeon in 2 weeks. since October I have only lost 10 lbs. Part of the problem is I am so down because the dr acts like there is nothing wrong. I am getting so frustrated. Let me know what you find out, I am curious. Also taking prilosec may help you.
