Paula: I have been using the regimen from Murad, go to Murad.com and they have special products for red/irritated faces. I love this stuff! I feels so good going on, very cooling, and helps take the redness away. It is a little pricey, and I am very tight, but I will pay for this stuff because is works for me. I hope you find your personal solution, too.
  2. Jennifer Aniston....when I was thin, that is....since I have gotten fat, people no longer say that, except my sweet husband!
  3. I drink one once in awhile...I usually sip it over an hour or more period of time, but I have had no trouble. I don't drink it every day, but several times a week.
  4. [Today with my second fill the same thing she couldn't find the port and used five needles this time, finally she called the doctor in and he got on the first try I think Im going to have someone else do it next time.It doesn't hurt but you shouldn't have to be stuck with a needle five different times for a fill. :girl_hug: :girl_hug:  Please do not allow this nurse to ever give you another fill. First of all, they should be looking at the port under fluoroscope so missing should not even be an option. Secondly...stabbing unsuccessfully that many times could easily cause your port to leak or stab a hole into your tubing and give you a leak. I don't want to worry you, but I would keep close track of how much is in your band and exactly how much they can draw back out next time. Tell your doctor you are concerned about puncturing your tubing and you prefer someone who can get it first time. It is your band, your money and you have a RIGHT to have it done right the first time.:biggrin1:
  5. Terry: Where are you in West Texas? I am also in West Texas. Where is your surgery taking place? I had mine in Acuna, Mexico with Dr. Rodriguez, he is the BEST. :clap2:
  6. "Dr is asking for $400.00 to replace my leaking port.I am so sad and discouraged right now.I don't have the money,so I'm stuck with a $9k worthless piece of crap inside of me." You just received your band in February and he wants to charge to fix the port??? That seems very unfair to me. I just had my port fixed...I was banded on May 2nd and when I went for my first fill on June 10 there was a leak. I used Dr. Rodriquez in Acuna, Mexico and that dear man did not charge me one cent. I put me completely out, went over that band from top to bottom and replaced the port, not sure aobut the tubing. I think you should try to renegotiate that with your doctor, it does not seem fair. Leaks cannot possibly be our fault...it is either a manufacturers defect, or someone stabbed your tubing during a fill. I hope you can get him to take care of this for you at no charge, that is how it should be. Best of luck to you. Michelle

  10. :hungry: Hey, my lapband cured my heartburn! I know this to be fact because last Saturday I went for my first fill and there was a leak somewhere. I had 1cc in my band and no heartburn, but he let all out of my band and I could not return to get it fixed until yesterday. The:sick ugly heartburn returned until I had my port fixed and got 2cc in my band. It really is amazing how this band stops heartburn dead in it's tracks!:clap2:
