  1. I was going to try to keep it secret but I quickly realized keeping things quiet and secret in my big mouth family was just not going to happen. I'm trying to get over the shame I feel about "HAVING" to have a surgery to lose weight. But it's not exactly a secret that I'm overweight. It's just the big pink elephant in the room no one is talking about. It's kinda like the old high school joke about not eating in front of a boy. You know, "If I don't eat in front of him he won't notice I'm fat."
  2. I'm having surgery with Dr Van Wagner on Monday. His office staff have been really great. I went through all the consults and then did a 6 month supervised diet plan with my primary. The primary didn't record it correctly so I switched primaries and had to redo the whole 6 months again. I was approved for surgery last Wednesday and will have surgery in 5 days!
  3. I'll be having my band done Monday morning at 8:30. I'm on day 2 right now of clear liquid diet and it is so much easier than day 1. I feel like I'm breaking up with that mean old abusive boyfriend, food. Right now I have a restraining order against him and next week he goes to jail. I'm excited about taking control of food back!! I have a lot of weight to lose but I'm excited to finally be on the journey!
