hi everyone! so i have been banded for 2 whole days now! i still dont have much of an appetite, so i am still trying to make sure i get enough hydration and Protein in... is anyone else having this problem? also, does anyone have any Protein Drink suggetions? i cant find the one they gave me i the hospital... if anybody has any other suggestions to help fight gas, id love to hear it! gas-x strips and warm Soup have really been saving my life...

i have been having some abdominal pain for a few days now... it comes and goes throughout the day, but i really feel it after i eat...i dont eat too much and it takes me abou 25-30 minutes to eat everything... at first i thought it was gas, but now i dont know... does anybody know what band slippage feels like? thanks!

congrats on getting your band! the hard part is over! the gas-x strips will definitely help! i carry those with me everywhere now. getting up and walking will definitely help. i slept in a recliner for the first few days because a bed wasnt comfy... definitely keep sipping the warm liquids because those will help. remember, the pain is only temporary... soon, the pounds will be flying off and you will be so happy! trust me! im 2 months in and i still think my band is the best thing i could have done for myself. if you ever get down, definitely come on here and you will find a ton of support! hope we can stay in contact through our band journeys! jenny -
thanks for the advice. i didnt have a fill, but i did have an appointment to get one on tuesday. i talked to my doc and he said it could have been any number of things (gas, eating too fast, eating too much, something not related to the band, or not drinking enough water). i think it was not enough Water because i have drank a ton of water the last couple of days and the pain is gone! i am definitely going to make sure i drink all my water everyday so i dont have that pain anymore!

Protein shakes make me vomit

Hi there. i am sorry you are struggling with your Protein shakes. i had the same problem when i first started... i have tried myoplex, which isnt too bad, except it is a little thick... i have also tried Isopure from GNC, but it made me feel gasy... then i tried unjury, which isnt bad, but you have to order it online... finally, i just got some new stuff from gnc. its called gnc pro performance 60 amp in chocolate. its really thin and goes really well with water! it actually tastes just like chocolate milk! i am a big fan. it comes in different sizes and a couple other flavors. the guy at the store said it was really popular and people actually liked the taste. even better, it has 60 grams of protein in 12 ounces! hope this helps! good luck on your weight loss journey! I met you when we both got our first adjustments together.. sorry i havent kept in touch very well. things have been so busy for me with work and school and all. anyways... i hope everything is going well with you! have you had another adjustment yet? i am going in for my second one this afternoon. im really glad im going in to see dr. feiz today because i have been having some abdominal pain near my stomach for a few days now. a little nervous, but hopefully he can tell me whats wrong...

good luck on all ur surgeries! nerves are completely normal! u will be so happy in a few weeks... trust me! i am 3 weeks post op and 20+ pounds lighter! my doc has me trying solid foods already so everything is wonderful... hope u r as happy with ur band as i am! -

muirite... i had my surgery 3 weeks ago with Dr. Michael Feiz at Cedars Sinai. I love my doctor! he is so nice and genuinely cares about all of his patients. he gave us his email address and cell number so that we can contact him at any time if we need help with our bands. i just got my first fill yesterday, and i was sooooo nervous going in. dr. feiz instantly calmed me and there wasnt any pain at all! good luck in your search! Also, Dr. Feiz is part of the Beverly Hills Physicians centers around the So Cal area. there have been many "coupons" for those who would like to pay cash for the surgery. the BHP centers are wonderful and so helpful! there are many located all over So Cal. -

i had a hiatal hernia fixed when i had my lapband done 2 weeks ago. the doctor said it was a quick fix, and i havent noticed any extra pain or anything. in fact, i am actually feeling really good and havent had much pain. my doctor said hiatal hernias are actually pretty common. a lot of people have them, but dont even know it. when is your surgery?

Hi everyone.. i was banded about a week and a half ago... just checking in to see how others banded that same week are doing... hope everyone is well and feeling that their surgery was a success! i am doing so well, and i cannot wait to move onto the next food phase. Soups are starting to get a little boring, but i am trucking on! i am feeling great and so happy with my decision! i cant believe that i actually enjoy stepping on the scale in the am! lol :smile2:

hi everyone! so i am now officially banded! not feeling too much pain, except where the port is... still feeling a lot of the gass, but the gas-x strips and warm soup helps a lot! anyone have any protein drink suggestions? the one they gave me at the hospital isnt bad, but i cant find it anywhere... -

to everyone who has already ben banded, i have a question.... is there anything that you wish someone would have told you before your surgery that you didnt already know? im just looking to see if there is any advice that i can get from people who have already gone thru the procedure to see if i can get any helpful hints or tools. advice is greatly appreciated!! thank you!

Hi everyone, I am new here and i thought i would stop by and see if anyone has any advice for me 3 days before surgery... i am super excited and nervous about the big day, but i am so ready for a new me! i just have a quick question... can anybody please send me information on how to start one of those weight loss trackers? i would love to put one on my posts in the future. hope i can chat with more of you in the future as we talk about our journeys with the lap band together! :rolleyes2:
