Thanks everyone for your reply. It lets me know that this is normal and my days are getting closer so there is no turning back now. Am scared of the surgery but more scare of my fatness lol.

Hey guys I have to say first that am sure both bands are good choices and have the same results. I did go for the Realize Band because of the way they place the band the band goes around and then stiched in place has a reputation of less band slip. Also the port is smaller easier to get to for fills per some pros. My doctor did not lean to one or other. My surgery is April 13,09 so we will see. Good luck to everyone with any band they choose.

Hi Yaz I hope all is well I know you want the band removed. I hope you think about this before do it. I have known of some people who have changed there mind. Then gain the weight back and feel that they should not have turned back but we all know what is best for us. Just make sure you think about how long was you unhappy heavy and how long unhappy with the lap band. I am going to get my band on April 13, 2009 and I know am a punk. I'm a cry and be afraid but it will get better and thats what am going in thinking. Because my weight is more hell! for me, then a band that will stop, the hell I have been fighting for so long. So with that being said. Good luck. and remember if you could have done it before without the band you would have.

Hello everyone my name is Taina a wife and mother of three. I have been over weight all my life yo-yoing. Three years ago I reached my big scale at 270 something. I felt so hurt that I got this big. I got on a diet, home made and worked out and some how lost 100lbs. I was so proud of myself. Now am not so proud. Half is back and I feel like I have failed. I decided enough! so I want to get lap band this year. I went to most of my pre-op follow ups and my surgery is set for April 13, 2009. I am new to all these blogs and Vblogs. So bear with me.
