I didnt even see my doctor...i was knocked out before he came in and woke up with 3 or 4 nurses around me in a recovery room...that was kinda scary...but i am doing good. I had an outpatient surgery so I was in recovery for about 4-5 hours and then got released and we had a hotel room since my hospital was almost 3 hours away so i went back to the hotel room to relax more...i'm home now though and doing good. Got some Jello down today and can start on full liquids on saturday :smile2:

  7. Hey all!! My name is Samantha and me & my family are air force and stationed out in florida right now. I have chosen to get the lap band surgery done. I have tricare so it is going really fast. I had my first evaluation yesterday and they told me i will have my surgery date by friday. And they are scheduling 4 weeks out right now so they told me to expect mid-april. Now I just need to go get my psy evaluation, diet eval, esophogram and gallbladder ultrasound. A little about me...I have a wonderful husband and 3 great kids. My kids are ages 3 yrs, 2 yrs, and 6 months (this is why i'm overweight cause i didn't lose it in between kids lol) I'm very excited to see a forum to seek advice from and give advice after I have had experiences. And also to share my succees when it comes
  8. One of the other ladies at the orientation I went to had that insurance...but it was her 2nd time around. She was saying since she couldnt follow a 6 month diet they made her go back and try again before they approved it. But it might be different with other people...I'm not sure though. I have tricare so it is very quick. I had my first evaluation on tuesday and my approval was already faxed to them today. She called me to set up my surgery date but i missed the call...so i have like a 5 week wait until my surgery which from what i have heard is extremley fast.
