Pre-Op Diet?
My doc has a week pre op diet of replacing 2 meals with a high Protein shake and the only meal of the day being a low carb low fat diet... But my neighbor who got the surgery done didn't have any diet except 24 hours of liquid before surgery. My surgery date is april 1st  yay!!

Newbie from Patrick AFB FL :)
Hey all!! My name is Samantha and me & my family are air force and stationed out in florida right now. I have chosen to get the lap band surgery done. I have tricare so it is going really fast. I had my first evaluation yesterday and they told me i will have my surgery date by friday. And they are scheduling 4 weeks out right now so they told me to expect mid-april. Now I just need to go get my psy evaluation, diet eval, esophogram and gallbladder ultrasound. A little about me...I have a wonderful husband and 3 great kids. My kids are ages 3 yrs, 2 yrs, and 6 months (this is why i'm overweight cause i didn't lose it in between kids lol) I'm very excited to see a forum to seek advice from and give advice after I have had experiences. And also to share my succees when it comes

insurance
One of the other ladies at the orientation I went to had that insurance...but it was her 2nd time around. She was saying since she couldnt follow a 6 month diet they made her go back and try again before they approved it. But it might be different with other people...I'm not sure though. I have tricare so it is very quick. I had my first evaluation on tuesday and my approval was already faxed to them today. She called me to set up my surgery date but i missed the call...so i have like a 5 week wait until my surgery which from what i have heard is extremley fast.
