  1. How are you doing now? I'm one week out and my port incision is red and still tender. My other incisions are on their way to healing, but the biggest wound is so tender. I can feel the port and it's still a little swollen. What did your doctor say? I'm anxious to hear from you. My email is lee12bee@yahoo.com.
  2. I'm getting mine done on the 8th, and I'm worried about the general anesthetic too.
  3. I'm June 8th. I'm very nervous. Do you know what kind of protein supplement you'll be using after surgery? I know nothing about stuff like that.
  4. Nomebug, My surgery is tomorrow as well. Let's keep in touch! Good luck! Lee
  5. I'm having my surgery on Monday, June 8th. I went in to the doctor on Thursday with a sinus infection. He put me on antibiotics and told me that I'd be okay for surgery on Monday. I'm concerned about coughing at the end of my cold/infection right when I have surgery. Will it hurt to cough? I'd think so. I'm using Dr. Nicholson in Dallas/Plano. Anyone ever use him?
  6. Reading all of these post makes me anxious. I went to the seminar, had 6 months of doctor visits and I went for my psych evaluation today. I want to do this, but I'm afraid of this new way of living and I hope I'm up to it. I've had friends that had the lap band and two were very successful and one was not. I want to be active and limber again, I want to be able to take long hikes on steep trails, so I know I want to do this. Am I just being a big chicken? The idea of not eating anything but liquids for two weeks before surgery sounds scary.
