I had the lb about 6 months ago. I came home feeling ok then started feeling terrible pain in my chest. I went back in they put me on an IV with antibiotics, fluids and pain meds. I wonder if I got an infection in the hospital. They did an xray and my band was fine. They never quite figured it out. I am glad I called right away I was home 4 hours when I started feeling bad. If you don't feel right afterward follow your gut. I stayed in the hospital another night and that really helped I was fine and doing great a few days later. I am down 45 pounds now. Good Luck
  2. I don't know if I believe any of that stuff. They do say Coffee is good for you too! I am holding onto that. I had LB surgery 08/13/08 and I never gave up my coffee. I have lost weight and I think it's ok. I have my fill of coffee in the morning, then maybe one cup in the last afternoon usually a latte. We need the calicum right? Don't fret you should still be able to drink your coffee. Good Luck
  3. That's a funny name for the band. I have to remember that when I am in the bathroom throwing-up! I told my husband I could have just become bulimic with all this stuff coming-up. I had another fill (now 3 or 4) and it seems better now. I two have to remember NOT to eat bread, and chew and eat slowly. Good Luck!
