Hi all, I got my Nectar samples today, 9.99 for 11 flavors, they were here in 2 days, I start my pre op diet tomorrow so over the next few days I will let you know how well i like the nectar. 2 weeks from today is my surgery date, I can't believe it is almost here.

I went to GNC today to get some Isopure and was so excited they had it on sale, i got 12 bottles , a shaker cup the one with a cool metal ball in side that looks like a spring, and joined the Gold Card Club 15.00 here and spend 41 dollars and some change. Major sale on isopure . I also ordered some Nectar flavor samples for 9.99. that is for 11 flavors , i hear they taste like koolaide, without all the calories and real sugar. I will let u all know what i think. I am like alot of you , i can't stand the milky drinks. I start my pre op diet on saturday and have my surgery on August 7,2009.Can't wait

I have ordered some nectar , i hope it is good, i have heard nothing but good things about it, like taste like koolaide without all the sugar, I hope this is true cause i am not one for milky drinks, I also have some Isopure and I can get that right here in town. I will let you all know what i think of the nectar, I also here that nectar makes good popsicles so i got one of those cheapo pop sicle making containers at the dollar tree,

Hey Thinthin, I think you are the surgery ahead of mine. Mine is at 9 am on the 7th of August:thumbup:.Going to get my EKG and blood work Monday.

I am having mine on August 7th, Had my pre op appointment yesterday, EKG and blood work Monday, then on Tuesday we leave for vacation, get back on the 24th. Start pre op diet on the 25th.

Welcome on New August Bandsters, it is going to be here before u know it. 2 weeks from today i start pre op diet, I am ordering some nectar and i got some isopure in the cabinet. Good luck to everyone and I can't wait till end of august when we can start talking about our experiances.

Hi brenda, This is probley because you switched insurance mid way , it is not a big deal you can contact the insurance company or both and they can fax or mail u a letter of credible coverage or a hippa form. I work for an insurance company and this is to help protect you so all ur submissions to insurance get paid. And as long as you meet all the criteria from your current insurance company you should not have any problems. Hope this helps.

i will have to get some of that jujuvee, i am going to order some Nectar, I will let you know how it is when i get it , i don't go on pre op till July 25th.

Hey Kaitlyn , defiantly appeal , Maybe you could have your parents talk to the attorneys at obesitylaw.com, mine was denied and then Kelley helped get my denial overturned, They are wonderful there and they can lead you and your parents in the right direction. Keep us posted on how your appeal is going.

I got my 6 months of dr. visits done in April and was sent to insurance , I got denied ,sent them more stuff got denied again, and then i sent it to appeals. It went to appeals on June 8, got word of approval from surgeons office on June23, the approval letter was actually dated for June 11. I have BCBS of IL what insurance do u have?Some insurance is nice and some is not, sorry did not mean to come off negative. Sure hope ur insurance pushes it through real quick. Erica

Hi all, I am from Central IL, and my surgery is scheduled for August 7th ,in Champaign IL, I am so ready, I go for my pre op on the 15th of July,I could have had it earlier but i had my vacation already booked and we are going on a float trip so had to make it in August , oh well worked out for the best , As i can't get FMLA till July 28th. Ok i will quit rambling now, and i can't wait to get to know you all. Erica

Hi all, I start my pre op diet on the 25th of july and my surgery day is 8/7/2009, i can have diet soda on mine so i hope that helps me get through it, it is crazy how different drs have different views and ideas on pre op diets. I don't go to my preop app. till July 15th.I think this diet seems pretty easy compared to some of the diet others are on. but according to the book i got here is my pre op diet, Breakfast 10-15 gr of carb less than 200 calorie Low carby Protein supplement Shake/drink Morning Snack 6oz glass V8 or 6 oz of diet OJ lunch 10-15 gr. carbs less then 200 calorie Protein supplement shake/drink dinner 20-25 gram carb 300-350 calories, Frozen meal(Lean cuisine, smart ones) Snack Low carb Protein shake Or 6 oz of light/no added sugar yogurt and 1 oz of mixed nuts or 3 cups unbuttered popcorn or 1 oz cheese and Medium-sized apple,orange or banana can drink unlimited amounts of sugar-free beverages, including reg or decaf coffee, tea , and diet soda. and no more then 2 8 ounce cups of skim milk.

Hello, we talked back in april , and i had the denial from BCBS as well, I got my good news on Tuesday, I am finally approved. Surgery date is August 7th, could be earlier but I am going on vacation and already had reservations made. Whooohooo congrats on your surgery. I hope it went well and u are feeling good.

Hi Everyone, I am from the Jacksonville area , I am trying to get my band done by Dr. Rohrscheib . My records went to my insurance last friday so now i wait. I sure hope i get approved, I am trying to not get over anxious but i hope insurance gets my decision quickly.

Hi All My info was sent to my insurance late last week so now i wait. I had to do the 6 months Dr. supervised diet and all that fun stuff. I hope to get good news soon. I have a question. I do water aerobics 2 nights a week. After surgery how long do you have to wait before one can get back in the pool? :laugh:
