  1. Hey everyone it has been a while since I last posted any thing but lately I have been very busy. I just wanted to take the time to let everyone know how informative this board is. I have had so many questions answered for me at times when I was very confused or unsure which surgery to choose. You guys really provided me with alot of good information I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their kindness and support. Enough of the mushy stuff time for the good stuff. I GOT APPROVED FOR MY SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED :clap2: . I really look foward to getting on board and sharing in some of the experiences of being banded(good ones I hope) At first I thought I couldn't do it with the band because I weigh 370lbs. but I decided to stop worrying and put it in God's hands.If anyone has any advice or words of encouragement feel free to send me a message.Thxs LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I Have Been Pondering For The Last Couple Of Months.i Felt Because Of My Size(380lbs. 5'7) That I Needed Rny Rather Than Lap Banding.since Reading A Lot Of Posts On This Site I See People My Size Or Larger That Have Been Banded And Our Doing Wonderful.this Make Me Feel That I Can Be Banded And Be Just As Succeccful As They Are. Thanks For All The Great Advice And Support!!!!!!!! Lol

  7. Hey Jenmomto3 we actually live very close to each other I live off Austin Peay. I am also going to Dr.Woodman , my insurance requires me to complete a six month diet first so I have about three months to go. I work in surgery at Baptist East Hospital so Ihave had the opprotunity to see the procedure first hand. I feel that Dr. Woodman is a very good doctor because I have had a chance to work with him in surgery. So i know you will do fine . Do you know your surgery date yet?   9. Hi I am new to this site I live in memphis,tennessee and I have been overweight all of my life. I am considering having bariactric surgery. I am so confused about what procedure I should have (lapband or laproscopic gastricbypass) I would like some answers from people that have had the lapband. I weigh 365lbs. I feel that I may not have a lot of success with the band so please help me in my decision making.
