Weight has been an issue for me since 1985.  I am an emotional eater who has always eaten compulsively using food to solve problems or to hide from them.  Everyday is a struggle.   I want to resolve this eating disorder because I still have a lot of living to do.  My weight has become a major impediment to my living life the way I want--- to travel, to get down on the floor to play with my grandkids, to participate in community events and to be comfortable in my own body.  Medical problems and medication have gotten me down, so I continue to struggle using this wonderful tool called the band and the information provided by members of Lap-band talk. com to stay motivated, however slow the process.
