  1. I was banded on 2/18/09 and so far i've dropped 47 lbs. I do cardio and light weights and lots of protein.
  2. I'm able to eat rice with no problems, but I have not tried bread or noodles since getting banded in Feb (18). I've been curious though.
  3. I was banded on 2/18/09 and have had two fills so far...first one was 5cc's and the second was 1cc. I do feel the restriction, but I think I need another, I'm still able to eat more than a cupfull...I go back in 3 wks.
  4. Do any of you keep a food journal? I'm thinking of starting one. I want to keep track of what I eat and how much of it. I also want to keep track of my calorie, fat and protien intake. So, if you do...do you just use a notebook, or did you buy an actual food journal...if so..where did you get one. I found one on Amazon.com, but want to know if there are any other places that have them available.
  5. I just got my first fill today and it was 4cc
  6. Ok, after reading this, i'm nervous now...I get my first fill in about an hour...lol I was hoping to hear that it was simple and pain free. My Dr is doing the first one, and the PA will do the rest. *update* Ok...I just got back from my first fill...4cc's. I was nervous for nothing....that was absolutely painless, hell, the pressure wasn't even that bad, like some of you stated, the doc had me do a crunch and he found it, stuck me, and injected, it was over in 30 seconds. No sweat.
  7. Anybody in the OKC area just get banded?
  8. I did have a last meal, but I did it the night before starting my 10 day pre-op diet. I had Pizza. I told myself I would not cheat during the diet, and I didn't.
  9. I've been doing a lot of walking as well, seems to help.
  10. I guess everyone is different...I slept like a baby on night 2 and i'm on day 3 now and I feel fine...most of the gas feeling is gone and no discomfort.
  11. That sounds really good. I am definitely gonna try this one. I have two days left on my post op liquid diet, so maybe I'll give this one a try as part of my pureed diet. Thanks!
  12. How soon after your surgery, were you able to start working out? I'm only 3 days post op, but I'm just curious.
  13. Well I will say that I am feelin so much better today, very lil discomfort as far as the gas feeling. I've been lettin them rip all morning..lol I'm hoping I'm on the downhill side of it today. I just hope I can get some sleep tonight, didn't get very much last night...hard to just lay in one position.
  14. I just got banded this morning and have been home for a few hrs now, and I'm curious, did everyone have this uncomfortable bloated gas feeling in the belly? If so, how long does it last, not to be crude, but man I wish I could just rip a few good ones to relieve the pressure..lol I've been gettin up and walking around every 10-15 mins and it doesn't help.
  15. I'm James from Oklahoma City and I Just got banded this morning. To keep from falling asleep, I jumped on here to see if I could find some info on post op recovery and stumbled upon this place. So here I am. I hope to learn a lot here. Thanks
