  1. So I went to my first Dr. visit for the lapband. I finally have insurance to cover me and I find out that I droped some weight that took me from a 41.o BMI to a 39.0 BMI. Yea I am happy to have lost 10 lbs. However, My insurance needs me at 40 BMI. I have been set up for a sleep apnea test but my current co morbidities dont qualify. So I almost have to hope for Sleep apnea or Gain back the EFFIN 10 lbs!! I am so torn I droped the sodas and the sugas and it took me 3 months to lose 10lbs. I am almost disgusted to gain them back. How long will it take me to drop 80 lbs ... years!! What should I do????? My friend was like lets get you some lead weights from the pro bass shop...hahaha AMAZING HUH!

  5. PCOS victim in da house!! I will overcome and I know the band is the right tool!!
  6. I have had PCOS since I was 16 and it has been hell! I was told very young I would not conceive but after droping 30 lbs I was pregnant!! That was almost 8 yrs ago and I have been wanting another child ever since I had Halie. I want to have the band soo band!! I read that in Europe the band is considered fertility surgery. Women who had PCOS are getting pregnant. Several gyn's told me just loose weight and you'll be fine. Major Lie!! PCOS almost makes it impossible to loose weight. I am part of another site called SoulCysters.com. These women discuss treatments and they are soo informative. I learned about proper treatment from Discovery Health Mystery Diagnosis, to think that PCOS is on that show. I took the info from the show to my Gyn amd she gave me the right meds. I have had consistant cycles now. Weight loss is my next venture.. Its great to have you on here and I read every thread too. I am obsessed with this site. Thanks for reading and relating
  7. Ok so I get this email from a former fling.. I say fling but this Man I have been sooo inlove with for years emails me. He says he's movin to my town. I am terrified!! I was like a body builder last time we saw each other. What do I do? He's an X USMC.. This totally reminds me of one of my previous jobs as a hairstlyist. My boss sat the team down and read this article from a mag about what people think when they see us. She went on to compare the pretty and the ugly in the industry then began to discuss weight. That B*tch went on to say when people see Obese women they immediatly think LACK OF SELF CONTROL and dont want them working on hair. Is this what he will see? I thought I was over this crap yet here it is creeping its Ugly head at me. I could have soo sued my boss since I was the largest women in the room. I want to be stong yet I feel Once Again in bondage to others idea of me......

  9. Wow someone who can relate... Yeah I have just swallowed those moments Hard! I know that this is the best thing for me and my Health... My Mom just told me " You better have this done before you have no options due to the med. reform crisis. I heard on the news that there are rumors The Obese might be taxed one day. Scary huh!! Like its not expensive enough to shop at Lane Bryant and be considered a Pre exsisting condition before you can sign up for health ins. But in some parts of the country you can have a sex change... Unbelievable... Sorry just venting a lil:cursing:
  10. :cursing:I too was diagnosed very young..16 to be exact I was 9yrs old when I started my cycle and was one of those really busty 12 yr olds. After age 16 my cycles were like 3 times a year. I was given Xenical and bc for my cycle and weight. I dropped like 30 lbs and was soo happy. This is a very expensive and uncomfortable $120 a bottle. I joined softball and worked out hard. Then after graduation I got pregnant!! I was soo not ready but I steped up. She is the best thing that ever happened to me. Halie is now 7 and is soo precious to me. I married her father(HS sweethearts). After 2 yrs of breast feeding I gained 80 lbs...SNAP just like that! No bc for 6 years bcuz I was hoping to get pregnant again, I was afraid that the bc would really screw me up. In 08 my gyno gave me metformin and My cycles are back. I have still not commited to bc. Although I will start taking them before I have the band. I have been at 222lbs for 3 yrs no more no less! Metformin is great but I still have hair issue... Help!! I can't wait to be normal one day. I feel like this is such a disfiguring condition. I feel like I robbed my husband!! My body was slammin!! Now I work out and just bulk up. I feel so manly. The band, I feel is the only way to really get the PCOS under control. OH GET THIS!! I went for my sono and the tech was like, too bad you cant have babies cause of your cystic ovaries... I was like b*tch don't diagnose me your a tech!(in my mind) The nerve!!.. she felt pitty for me yet she condemed me to feel worthless and hopeless!!
