  1. I just read your question after I just sent one in about itching. I'm still itching and it's been 5 months. Let me know if you found anything out after talking to your surgeon.
  2. It has been 5 months since my surgery and I have this itch that gets so bad some times at night that it wakes me up. I've seen that silicone allergies are rare, anyone have any ideas? Sometimes there are small hives, most of the time there is nothing to see. Anti itch lotion helps but I have to put it on several locations because the itch isn't localized. Surgeon doesn't think it is related to the band.
  3. I had my surgery 11-08 and have have 3 fills. My last fill was the beginning of march and i had only lost 23 pounds. I was very discouraged, hungry, and mad because I couldn't eat without it hurting and throwing up. sound familiar. After the last fill in march it was like magic. the weight started to melt away and I wasn't hungry, and I still couldn't eat alot but I didn't need to or care. I was satisfied. Talk to your doc about your problems. Oh yea, my total fill is now 2and 1/2 cc. I know it's easy to get discouraged but hang in there. Focus on what you have already lost not what others have lost.
  4. I take milk of magnesia for consitipation. However, I would like to use something natural. Before being banded I had to use fiber powder mixed in my drinks. Usually psyllium husks and crushed flax seed. However, now I'm afraid this might be too much fiber in the pouch. any info would be appreciated.
  5. I had lap band 11-08 and have had 2 fills so far. Both times the doc had a hard time either finding the port or getting the needle in the port (I'm not su:scared2:re which). It took a while for him to do this and it hurt while he was pushing on my stomach finding it. Has anyone else experienced this?
  6. I had lap band on nov. 5th 2008. I've lost 20 pounds, and that was in the first 6 weeks. I've been gaining weight the last few weeks. I'm hungry. I've had two fills totaling 2 cc. Is this normal, do I need to call my doc. I see him again in Feb. Help
