  1. Hi all, I also have a lapband by Dr. Ortiz 2/09 and am having lots of problems. I was treated very well by Dr. Ortiz. I just contacted there office in regards to revision and was quoted $9,000 for removal and the sleeve. Hope this helps...
  2. Just thought I would try and keep this thread alive. Any bandsters that are in the area and would like to get together please post. Hopefully we can arrange something.
  3. Hi Spincan... Where r you going for fills? I require my first one and have not been successful in finding someone to do fills in Toronto... Thanks
  4. Hi Mom101, I was banded in TJ and have been having a problem finding a fill nurse in the Toronto area. Could you please post the information.. Thank you
  5. Hi Madison, I didn't have a problem but I did keep myself hydrated. Only drinking Water or having some Protein. Both my flights were over 3 hours. Just wear comfortable clothes and ensure you have something to drink with a bit of protein as you will need some to keep up your energy. I hope things work out well. How are you doing otherwise?
  6. Hello Gumbo, Thank you. I do feel that I am very lucky as I am doing well. Not hungry and not in any pain. I picked up some liquid tylenol in the States and really have no need for it. I am still trying to figure out what to do for the fills. There are fill centers in USA in Troy... about a 4 hour drive..or I have heard of Dr. s in Montreal or Ottawa...Toronto does not seem to have anything. They won't touch a Mexican patient. I take great powdered Vitamins called Green+ Multi made by Genuine Health. Otherwise I am just following the liquid diet closely. How are you feeling today?
  7. Hi Everyone, I was also banded on the 23rd and I feel great. I was out the first night and was released from OCC in the morning. I am still on fluids and not hungry. I had a little bit of trouble at night but a heating pad helped out a lot. I flew on the 26th and had a horrible journey home. I am thankful I was not being bothered by anything as I was stranded in St. Paul for the evening. Had flights cancelled and delayed multiple times, held on the plane twice. I was heading for Buffalo to get my car and drive back to Guelph, Ontario but there were not flights for two days so I took a flight to Toronto and had to drive to Buffalo today to get my car and come back... What a journey. I am trying to stick to liquid as long as possible as I was told mushies will stretch your pouch. Hope everyone else is also doing well!
