My goodness that is amazing to hit your goal in only 6 months. WOW My doctor and I just realized a realistic final weight for me of 155-165. I'm happy sticking to my little goals. My next is to hit 250. Congrats again. That is wonderful.

Congrats to everyone for hitting onderland. As for me just hitting twoland was wonderful enough. It will be a while til I hit onderland, but 59 pounds down, I'm on my way.

Hi everyone, I was so happy to meet everyone tonight. Thank you to Carmen, Jenn, Cynthia, and Vicky who joined myself and my husband Matt. For those Tara, Esmeralda, Jodylnne, and Wally I hope you can make it to the next meeting. After tonights gathering I decided to start a yahoogroup for the OC area. If you are interested in joining the yahoogroup, email me at oclapbandsupport-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and I will add you to the group. If you are familiar with yahoogroups this will be easy, if you aren't it is still easy. Check it out and join if you are interested. We are planning another meeting for next month. But no date has been set yet. We are thinking to keep it on Thursday nights, since it worked out so nicely. I will keep you all updated.

No need to bring anything. I was thinking that maybe in the future we could bring a favorite receipt to share, something low fat that you really enjoy. I really don't want to talk about weightloss as we sit around snacking on food. I think it defeats the purpose of why we are meeting LOL Hey for those that have been banded for a while, not the newbies, bring a before picture. I know everyone has atleast one picture that made you say...."I need to do something about my weight". I think it is great encouragement for everyone to see where we started and how far we have come. I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone tonight. If anyone has anymore questions before meeting tonight, please call me. Although my doctor has a regular support group, they meet on Mondays, the only day of the week that is almost impossible for me to get away from the house. I would love to find others in my area that are also interested in a regular monthly support group meeting. I'm interested in starting a regular support group meeting for my area. I'm in Westminster and really would like to meet up with others in my area to chat face to face. I haven't been able to attend the support meetings at my doctors, since the only day they are available is Mondays. I can't do Mondays. If anyone is intersted, let me know. I was hoping to get something set up for this month and hopefully start making it a regular event.

Hi everyone, I had my second fill yesterday and got 2.5 cc. I did lose 7 1/2 pounds during the last month, but was hungry all the time. I didn't feel any restriction from the first fill. Right now I'm feeling some fullness after I eat my portion. I will say that I am so happy with the lapband. I've lost a total of 38 pounds since the surgery, so I'm not complaining. I will also admit that I haven't been exercising either. I might get in 1 or 2 days, but that is about it. I really need to commit myself to exercise. I finally started eating salad last month, I missed my salads. The only real restriction I have is fruit skin. I haven't gotten it caught, but I have noticed it is hard to get down, so I just go ahead and peel everything. Has anyone had any food restrictions?

Glenda, I'm trying to figure out if I am using the calorie counter site correctly. I finished inputting my food for the day, but there is no overall grade. Is there something else I need to be doing?

I just started with the caloriecounter.com site today, and it is pretty cool. I haven't finished inputting all my foods today, but I have had an A so far today. Can't wait to see how it ends. Hope everyone is well.

Hi there everyone, I'm Tiffeny and I was banded on the 7th. I'm doing pretty well. Some days I'm hungry and some days i don't have cravings at all. It is all pretty weird. I'm down a total of 47 pounds so far. 22 presurgery and 23 post-surgery. I'm anxious and a little nervous for my first fill on Feb 10th. When is everyone getting their first fill?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Tiffeny 36, from Orange County, CA. I just got banded on Jan 7th. I've lost 47 pounds so far (22 before the surgery, and 23 since) I look forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully getting some much needed support.

Dr. Oliak is my doctor. He is great. I had my surgery Jan 7th, and it went as smoothly as possible. His staff is wonderful and I would highly recommend him. My insurance actually set me up with him, but I have two friends that also had the surgery and they too used Dr. Oliak.
