Hi everyone, I'm Tiffeny. I got my band 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. I started my journey at 356 and am now down to 238. I have hit a plateau, but I think it is only because I have gotten comfortable. I could go back in an get a fill, but I don't think I want to be any tighter. I just need to get my butt in gear and exercise, which has never been a favorite of mine. I live in Westminster. I used to have a support group that met at my house every month. We did it for almost a year, but it came to an end when personal schedules got in the way and everyone has to start cancelling. I don't have time for support groups on a monthly basis anymore, but am always up for talking to other banders for moral support. Tiffeny

Hi Betty, Are you doing the liquid diet right now, or are you talking about the two weeks after surgery? I never did liquids before surgery, but after I lived off the slim fast drinks. I have friends that loved the tortilla soup from El Pollo Loco, but they only drank the broth. That was a great treat for them. Where are you having your surgery at?

Orange county and surrounding areas. Is anyone interested in a clothing swap?

My goodness that is amazing to hit your goal in only 6 months. WOW My doctor and I just realized a realistic final weight for me of 155-165. I'm happy sticking to my little goals. My next is to hit 250. Congrats again. That is wonderful.

Congrats to everyone for hitting onderland. As for me just hitting twoland was wonderful enough. It will be a while til I hit onderland, but 59 pounds down, I'm on my way.

Hi everyone, I was so happy to meet everyone tonight. Thank you to Carmen, Jenn, Cynthia, and Vicky who joined myself and my husband Matt. For those Tara, Esmeralda, Jodylnne, and Wally I hope you can make it to the next meeting. After tonights gathering I decided to start a yahoogroup for the OC area. If you are interested in joining the yahoogroup, email me at oclapbandsupport-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and I will add you to the group. If you are familiar with yahoogroups this will be easy, if you aren't it is still easy. Check it out and join if you are interested. We are planning another meeting for next month. But no date has been set yet. We are thinking to keep it on Thursday nights, since it worked out so nicely. I will keep you all updated.

No need to bring anything. I was thinking that maybe in the future we could bring a favorite receipt to share, something low fat that you really enjoy. I really don't want to talk about weightloss as we sit around snacking on food. I think it defeats the purpose of why we are meeting LOL Hey for those that have been banded for a while, not the newbies, bring a before picture. I know everyone has atleast one picture that made you say...."I need to do something about my weight". I think it is great encouragement for everyone to see where we started and how far we have come. Hi everyone, I know that I have spoke to some of you about starting a monthly support group meeting. I'm ready to do it and wanted to know when everyone, who is interested, is available. It would be at my house in Westminster. I'm off of the 405 @ Beach. I was thinking of doing it on a Thursday night about 7:00. Although my doctor has a regular support group, they meet on Mondays, the only day of the week that is almost impossible for me to get away from the house. I would love to find others in my area that are also interested in a regular monthly support group meeting. I'm interested in starting a regular support group meeting for my area. I'm in Westminster and really would like to meet up with others in my area to chat face to face. I haven't been able to attend the support meetings at my doctors, since the only day they are available is Mondays. I can't do Mondays. If anyone is intersted, let me know.
