Hi, I am seeing Dr. Oliak who kind of works with Dr. Owens. The are both suppose to be very good. I was suppose to get banded on Aug. 2nd. but my upper GI showed disordered esophageal motility so now everything is on hold. I am hoping for a new date by the end of next week. I live in Escondido. I hope I am doing this right. I am new to this site. I was suppose to be banded on Aug. 2nd. but my upper GI showed something called "disodered esophageal motility" so now everything is on hold. I have a appt. Monday with a specialist so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I couldn't find any doctors in San Diego that do lapband surgery so I am seeing Dr. Oliak in Orange(he has a website..droliak.com) He came very highly recommended. I have done alot of research and feel like the band is the answer for me. I could never put my body through a bypass. I just live in Escondido so we are not too far from eachother. Good luck to you. Hi, I Was Suppose To Get My Band On Aug. 2nd. My Upper Gi Showed That I Have "esophageal Mobility Something" So Everything Is On Hold Till I Can See A Specialist, I Have A Appointment On Monday. I Am So Worried That I Wont Be Able To Get Banded At All. I Have Been Looking Forward To My Band For So Long. Can Anyone Give Me Any Imput On This Condition? Will It Keep Me From Getting My Band? HI EVERYONE, NICE TO MEET YOU.....I WAS SUPPOSE TO GET MY BAND ON AUG. 2ND BUT MY UPPER GI SHOWED I HAVE "ESOPHAGEAL MOBILITY SOMETHING" I AM SO WORRIED THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO GET MY BAND WHICH I HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR.:think I WAS SO LOOKING FORWARD TO A NEW BEGINNING. Hi, I was suppose to get banded on Aug. 2nd. But My upper GI showed I have esophageal mobility problems. I am so afraid I will not be able to get my band at all now. I see a specialist on Monday to confirm the problem. Is this something that can be treated? Will it prevent me from getting my band? Thanks, Kathy
