  2. Im four years post op. I found after the op, for the first time in my life I invested in an electric blanket and love it during the winter months. I have been to hotter climates (Asia and Oz) and I do sweat but the heat doesn't really bother me, in fact I enjoy it. I'm not always cold and in summer do use an air con to cool down - but more often than not I find it just as nice to open the window and use a fan.
  3. Hi, my tentative date is 31st March big YAYY :rose: I was asking on behalf of a friend who is also interested but has polycystic ovaries and is concerned about outlaying the cost and not losing weight per say.
  4. Hi there, Just wondering if anyone has had polycystic ovaries has had obesity surgery? Have you lost weight? Cheers, Trish
  5. hi miranda, thanks for reply. i...think... i should be alright for the liquid diet as i have been doing it (not religiously) for the past few months for breakfast and lunch while working. i start back from xmas hols on monday ready to return to it. can i ask how much it has cost for the surgery? i have a somewot skeptical husband ( he has no issue with paying for the surgery) who i guess has seen is wife over the past 15 years on the diettreadmill with little results. we ran into a friend yesterday who said she knows someone who has had it done and has lost 9kg in 9 months... hes wondering if its all that its cut out to be?? so if your out there people...i would love the feedback. ps: i am still getting use to being on a forum so if i post this twice ..my bad.

  7. Hi there, I am new to the forum and am waiting to meet with Dr Fris for the first time next week. Guess it will take some time to read all the info provided here on the website and learn about the life adjustments I am going to need prior to my appt and information evening. Looking forward to hearing from other kiwis about how they adjusted their lifestyles.
  8. Hi there, I am a newbie to all this and have only just made the appointments to meet with the doctor and for the information evening. I am wondering whether there are any other kiwis that have had this operation done in NZ?
