  1. I am having the same problem. I have been using Vitamin E oil and that helps a little but I would also appreciate any suggestions.
  2. For Breakfast: 1/4 C Trader Joe's O's w/ 1/2 c Strawberries and 1/2 c FF milk Lunch: 1/2 C Lean ground turkey patty w/ 1/8 c 2% cheese Plan to have Dinner: 3 chicken potstickers w/ 1 c vegi. stir fry Oh yeah don't forget Water water water and some decaf sugar free instant coffee (YUM) to keep me warm!
  3. It sounds like you are convinced that the band is the way to go for you... You know yourself better than a Dr. would. It sounds like you knows the facts and the differences and you should go with your gut!
  4. The time that people take off from work is always different. For me I had the surgery on Dec 23 and was back at work on the 26th. I probably would have been better off if I had waited until the 29th. I was just really tired, if we had been busy (I work at a bank) I would have been in trouble. The key for me was to keep walking as much as possible. If I am ever in pain or feeling to tired walking really the key. The nurses had told me that walking would help but I did not think that it could make such a big difference.
  5. I had some with no problem about 10 days post surgery. My Dr. said they were OK on the mushy stage but to get them without the sauce.
  6. Thanks so much for the support! Where do you get the little weight loss tracker bars that are under your posts?
  7. I think that it shows that some of the doctors or programs are not preparing their patients properly. I had to learn all about it for 6 months before I got the surgery. I have a whole binder full of information that I look at everyday. I think that it is sad/scary that people are finding themselves in this situation when they should be spending the time on healing and not freaking out about if they have done something wrong or not!
  8. I was banded on the 23rd of Dec and just had my first post-op check up. My Dr. doesn't do the first fill until the 6 week follow up. I stayed on full liquids for two weeks(oatmeal and cream of wheat are out of my diet for a long time after that). I started eating the pureed/mushy foods on Tuesday and that seems to be keeping me full much longer. I am having a hard time getting all of my protein in. Any suggestions on good powders or drinks?
  9. Hi I am Rosemary and I am new to this whole forum thing but, since I am in the middle of making a huge life change (16 days since I got the Realize Band) I thought I should get all of the help/advice/support that I could! Things have been awesome so far. I have lost 14 lbs, but I expect that to slow now that I am moving on to mushies from liquids.
