  1. Has anyone been told not to take motrin post op? I know someone said something about it but I missed the point. Does anyone out there take motrin after being banded? I haven't tried it yet but I would like to.
  2. I am six months out now and I am in the same position. I have been stagnant in my wieght loss for about 2 months now. Recently I tried to step up my exercise and I hope that works. I got to get back on track and start loosing again. I need to stay off the scale except for once a week also. I find that very hard to do. Good luck to all of you.
  3. I frequently have trouble with hiccups because I eat too fast. If I remember to eat slow and chew, chew, chew, I don't have that problem. I am really bad at lunch time because I have such a short time to eat. I think I would probably do better just to drink a protein drink for lunch but I am sure I would be hungry before dinner. I am going to schedule another fill soon. Hope that helps.
  4. I was banded on 8/15/08 and have had two fills. One at about 8 weeks out and then the last one was about 10 weeks after that. I have lost 48 pounds so far but I am not sure I know what to note as restriction. I try to measure my food and I think my weakness is snacking. I try to watch it but when I am not working and at home I know I eat more between meals. I do feel full after I eat and I suffer if I eat too fast and don't chew well enough but I really don't have a clue as to what it would feel like to reach a sweet spot. I have a 9 cc band and only about 5 cc's in there right now. I think I will need another fill soon. Maybe that is one reason I am snacking.
  5. Anyone have a tread climber and want to share their experience with it? I am thinking of buying one.
  6. Banded 08/14/2008. Weight loss so far 48 pounds!!
  7. Seems like it takes forever for the surgery but overall it comes and goes fast. I know how it feels to just want to get it over and start loosing. You will be on the loosing trac soon.
  8. I don't think that you should take calcium and iron together. check you vitamin and see if there is iron in it? I think you wait an hour between them.
  9. I had surgery on a Thursday and went back to work on Tuesday only because I had Monday off. I was sore but did OK. I guess it depends on how much discomfort you can tolerate and how much lifting you have to do. That will be restricted for awhile.
  10. I take flintstone chewable and calcium chewables twice a day. I get the calcium at bariatric advantage. Hope this helps.
  11. You will do ok by yourself. Just make sure you have your fluids and whatever else you will need handy.
  12. Hi, I had my lap band surgery on 8/15/08 and I am down about 42 pounds. I thought I should be loosing more but my doctor says this is OK. Had my second fill yesterday and I hope I will keep loosing.
