Well, I've made it to one month and I'm 30 pounds down! woohoo! I've had one fill already, which was 2 days ago..I've noticed some restriction, I've had a few encounters where I felt like I was going to vomit, I think only cause I was rushing myself and didn't chew carefully. But I'm so excited to lose some more weight..I have a lot more to go, but at least I have a great start. The first two weeks of liquids was really hard, and I ended up losing 25 pounds in those 2 weeks! These following 2 weeks have slowed down big time! 5 pounds in 2 weeks? Just doesn't seem like much, but I have to keep telling myself that I lost 30 pounds in 1 month..that's pretty freakin good! Talk soon with more updates!

Hey All! My name is Jamie and I'm 32..I'm getting banded at the Oregon Bariatric Center in Eugene on May 18th! So excited and a tad nervous..I have my pre-op appointment tomorrow..I hope to make some friends close to home! :thumbup:

This seems to be the right tool to get healthy and to keep weight off. Right now I'm very close to banding. I've gone through the seminar, the consultations, psych evaluation, dietician appointment, and now I'm required to take 3 nutrition classes. After that, I'm hoping to get more of a set date for the surgery. I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and sharing our experiences. If there are any Oregon bandsters..especially in Eugene..Let me know! I'd love to chat!:confused:
