  12. tara: my first fill worked for about 3 weeks and i started to get hungry more and wanting to eat more. The way they exolain it to me is it is like filling up something empty and it just takes time to fill it up. I know that isn't much help but everyone is different we all have our different sweet spots. I will go for my second fill on wednesday i haven't lost as much as the first it is going slow but i do go up and down too. Just hang in there we will reach out sweet spot and the weight will come off. I do walk on the treadmill and takes walks and play basketball. look how far you have come so far that is an accomplishment in it its self. way to go .

I'm so thankful that the journey to being healthier and better fit for life started in December of 2008. Had surgery set for January the 17th both me and hubby. Did the surgery came out with flying colors. Had first fill on the 25th of February and the second to be done on the 25th of March. This is one surgery that i truly wished that I would of done a long time ago. It is such a blessing to be able to breathe better and able to walk across the room without being winded from the walk and have to set down. Your whole attitude changes and all. From december to now have lost a total of 50 pounds. Which is so awesome and can't wait for the next fifty to come off. I say to anyone reading this if you haven't done the lapband you need to do it.

  15. Wendy: Don't get discouraged everyone is different the first part of our weight is water weight . If you stop and think we were mostly doing liquids now our bodies have to get used to us eating real food and more healthier foods, not the foods we used to eat. I keep rocking back and forth but i have to remeber to do the liquids and all. You are doing great keep up the good work and keep a good attitude going. You are soing great!!!!!
  16. the funny thing about all this is whenever i go and see my mom and dad my mom is constantly feeling of my arms and legs. She told me the other day please don't get flabby like me. She held up her arm I told her oh yeah so when ever your hand stops waving your top arm won't still be waving. I used to play with the extra skin on my grandmother's upper arm and she told me to be careful it might swing back and hit me in the face. I'm just sopleased with the way I feel and the extra energy I have. I tell people the next time you see me i may be laying eggs or growing fins. We are eating alot of fish and chicken. I wouldn't change my descision for nothing now. Kathy keep up the good work an attitude that is what it is all about.
  17. what i do for exercise is walk, we have a park that we take our shitzu to and she loves it. WE laugh at her because the first lap she has us jogging and the second lap she is like can we rest now. She is a little overweight so we try to get her as much exercise as we can. Yesterday for the first time i did the treadmil for 10 mintues and wasn't out of breath. It felt so good now I couldn't of done that before surgery. I'm like you i feel so much better.
  18. hi kathy: Me and my husband were banded on the 17th we are doing good. He has lost a total of 36 pounds and I've lost a total of 32. We are exercising and eating healthier than we have ever eaten . This has to be the best decision we ever made. Wishing you good luck with yours.
  19. Policeman 116: Don't give up me and my husband are going thru TLC edge which the cost is 9.990 each. It covers everything. They have a website TLCedge.com please try this. I'm sure they have an office where you are at. If nothing else go to the website and contact them and take some vacation time off and come down here. We did our first appointments in one day and they sat us up with the doctor to do all that is needed and for some of it you can use your family doctor. They will also set up your surgeon for you also. So don't give up try this site and let us know how it comes out.
