Brad...you are so right about people thinking the the band is the reason for weight loss. I was banded on 1/13 and so far so many people have said the rudest things regarding the weight I have lost so far. I know I'm new at this but I have been so carefull about my food choices and working in my exercise. You should be proud of your weight loss and dedication.
  2. thanks Cherbear for the info on how to post a ticker!!!!!
  3. Well I have been catching up with everyone's postings. I'm happy to see everyone is doing well. I have lost about 27lbs so far (pre op diet included). I find myself looking for people to notice, and feel like a failure when they don't. My doctor doesn't have you come in for a check up until 6 weeks after surgery which is when I will also get my first fill. I have no restriction so I find myself thinking what if it is out of place? Does anyone feel like that? Sometimes I can't stop worrying. I go for my follow up on the 23rd I hope to get all my questions answered. Everyone keep up the good work...summer will be here soon!!!

Hey a fellow Mainer... I had my surgery on 1/13 with Dr Wolff... i wish you all the luck!
  5. Well I had my surgery Tueday the 13th so far I have been ok. I still have pain getting up and down and the bathroom situation is another story. But other than the pain of surgery I don't feel anything as far as restriction is this normal? My doctor allows for the first two weeks 2 shakes and 1 blended meal, I'm hoping I blended my food good enough, nothing has bother me but could something happpened like the band slipping or anyhing else? I'm alittle mad that I feel this way (no restriction) I really want to lose the weight but I'm so afraid it won't happen. So basicly I want to know if it is normal not to feel restriction before your first fill and damage that food that is not blended well do. Thanks for your help...this has been such a great help throughout my process I would have been lost without it!!!
  6. Well our time has come, good luck everyone. I will be praying for us all. My surgery time 9:00 but I need to be there at 7:30. Wow, I can't believe it!!!!!
  7. It feels good to know others will be starting their lap band journey on the same day. I can't believe this day is almost here. I just finished my pre op diet- 3 Protein shakes and 1 small meal a day. Now I'm doing 5 Protein Shakes for monday and then nothing after midnight on tuesday. Wasn't that bad, but I'm kind of nervous of the post op diet, My family is somewhat supportive, however there are some who wished I would change my mind. Why don't they understand??? Also I have been feel very emotional, on the verge of tears almost all day. Does anyone else feel like this? I feel like crying now!!!!!!
  8. Love it! This was just what I needed!!! Thanks

Its nice to now others will be starting their journey with me, I will be thinking of all of you, best of luck!!!
