  1. OMG I can't believe there are doctors still using sutures and staples on top of the skin!!
  2. I have BCBS Fed, you will get approved in no time. But they now required the 6 mo. supervised diet!
  3. Good question, I've only been banded a month so I hope some long timers post.....
  4. your insurance will allow your chiro to do the supervised diet? That's awesome, because chiro's are really good for that sort of thing.....
  5. Well too early to contribute much to this thread. I've just lost 15-16 lbs this month, all from pre-op and post-op dieting.
  6. This is not her FIRST post about her new sex life ................LMBO
  7. There's a LOT of people in healthcare on this board! Me too!...I own a med billing co---
  8. Got it, sorry I misread the question. You're right though, we have to choose to be successful, therefore we shall
  9. Everyone is unique. You might not need a support system but someone else might. But statistics show that people who have a support system tend to be more successful, in whatever it may be they are trying to accomplish. As for this country being critical of overweight people, why that may be true but I think country has nothing to do with it, rather it's slender people are critical of heavy people. And I certainly wouldn't say that's across the board. I have slender friends who are great "support" systems for me.
  10. www.hoab.com....Dr. Van Wagner. He uses St. Alexius hospital and they both are Centers for Excellence in Bariatrics. He is considered the best in the area.
  11. WOW, thanks for the tips everyone! I am going out tomorrow and getting some of this spaghetti squash and mozarrella and more ground turkey! I'm getting hungry now!
  12. Wow, the eggplant pizza sounds great too! !
  13. OMG that is so rude! How can somebody say that? That just makes me mad!
  14. I have a question. If you don't feel "restriction" after your fill, why do you have to keep waiting to get multiple fills which require waiting I assume for everybody, a month each time? Why can't you just call your surgeons office and tell him you didn't get restriction and go back in and have it fixed? That seems kind of silly to me to keep getting itty bitty bits put in when it sounds like that doesn't do it for most. Is it me or is the fill approach by most doctors too conservative?
  15. I hope so! Probably if you're wearing a wide size you might not be after awhile!
  16. Thanks! Now I know this is normal, else I would have been very concerned. I'm trying hard not to gain any weight in the meantime.....
  17. oh please! I don't believe anyone that says they HAVEN'T cheated! I cheated too, had tuna one night, I couldn't take it. And THAT was on purpose! At least it was protein, it's not like you set back any weight loss with that....
  18. You are going to succeed and you will feel great!
  19. haha! I think I saw that thread....!
  20. Wow, that is amazing!!! I hope I am you one day shouting my victory!
  21. What's up with the rudeness on this board? I don't get it...... Face it everyone, we're all the same here. You either are, or were...FAT! FAT! FAT! FAT! You may have lost weight, but you used to be FAT!!! So you see, we're all the same here, nobody's better than the other, we're just in different stages of the journey. We should be supporting each other to better ourselves and learn about the lapband. There are a lot of cool people on this board! But if you're one of those sour apples, you should get your crayons and go to the corner and color......
  22. My mom used to do that rice thing for earaches when we were kids. I guess it worked. Don't actually recall. Didn't I just reply to another one of your posts where my mom did something else similar? LOL
  23. Right--people get very confused with the authorization of the procedure vs. actually covered on the policy!
  24. Wow, that's funny! Because I said to my husband that it kind of tasted like my mom's recipe of stuffed peppers, which also included the hamburger mixture inside rolled cabbage!! I don't know if it was tomato or spaghetti sauce or what on top, but it was good, and so is this!!
  25. It's a bunch of crap isn't it? Unfortunately it is lawful and each state sets the maximum fee that can be charged for copying records. You must have had a lot of records for $75!
