  1. We have the same band date! I plateaued in Sept. I've been staying between 145-148. Finally, two weeks ago the scales started moving again! I was at my lowest this morning (142.2). I have 7.2 pounds to go to be at my goal! I'd been staying at the same intake on calories and decided to play around with it to see if I could get the scales moving. I had to increase my intake and then lower it to shake my body up some and get the scales to moving. I guess I was just in a rut! Congrats on your success!
  2. I saw my doctor yesterday and had my second fill. The first fill was four weeks ago and he put in 2cc. Yesterday, he gave me 1 1/2 cc more, so I have 3 1/2 cc in my band now. I've lost over 76 pounds and have about 17 more to go to reach my goal.
  3. Banded 12/19/08. I've lost 65 pounds as of this morning. No fills yet. I have to admit, I haven't been exercising, but I know I need to start. Other than that, I've been doing exactly what I'm supposed to do and feel great.
  4. I was banded 12/19/08. I haven't had a fill yet. As of this morning, I've lost 65 pounds.
  5. Thanks! The 10's are tight, but I was quite excited to get into them. My goal is to be a 6. I have about 33 more pounds and I'm thinking I should be there.
  6. I was banded 12/19, and so far so good! No fills yet. I started out in a size 20/22 and this week I was able to squeeze into a 10! That was pretty exciting for me!
  7. I had my surgery in December and still haven't had a fill. My doctor said as long as I'm losing an average of 1 pound a week, he won't do a fill.
  8. So far, so good here. I still haven't had a fill. I go back to the doctor next week (3/31). It will have been 6 wks since my last appt. and I've already lost 11 pounds since then, so I doubt I'll get a fill this time. At this point, I can eat anything I want without a problem and I'm still not getting too hungry between meals. I don't know how much longer this will last though. All in all, I'm happy with my band and my progress!
  9. Add me to this list!!! I've always been very cold natured, but now it's almost unbearable! I absolutely can't get warm. My husband keeps telling me nobody should be as cold as I am. I'm walking around the house with a jacket and a blanket around by body, socks on my feet, long pj's to bed, etc! Glad to know it's not just me!
  10. 16 pounds gone is sooo much better than 16 gained, or even staying the same! I've followed everything to a T and in the process I've learned alot about myself. I don't think it's so much what I was eating or how much I was eating as it was WHEN I was eating. I eat out of boredom, frustration, and stress. Since being banded, I have totally cut it out, but it has been HARD!!! This entire journey has been a learning experience for me. I'm no where near being finished, but I do feel a little wiser!
  11. I was terrified to move to solid food!! It was a full six weeks after surgery before my dr. let me start on solids. The first thing I ate was a scrambled egg. I also ate alot of fish those first few days. I will have been banded 3 months on Thursday. I haven't had a problem eating anything. Of course I haven't had a fill yet either. I take small bites and chew each bite 25 times. As long as you do this, you should be fine.
  12. Wow, I wasn't allowed to move to solid food for 6wks! Just be careful because your body needs to heal.
  13. Just popping by to check in with the other December Bandsters! I do have a question. I still haven't had a fill yet. Anybody else? I go back to the doctor in a little over 2 weeks (3/31), so I guess we'll see what he says. I feel like I'm doing okay. I don't get too hungry and I'm keeping my calories between 700-800 a day. I do have some trouble getting all my protein in (50-60g daily) and some days I have to eat a protein bar to boost it up. Any tips on this?
  14. I was banded Dec. 19. I saw my doctor today (3rd post-op visit) and still no fill. I'm really okay with it. I'm eating between 700-800 calories a day and I'm not getting too hungry between meals. As of this morning, I've lost 41.6 pounds. 14.8 of that was on the 10 day pre-op diet. I've got 52.2 more pounds to go, so I'm almost half way there! How do I edit my ticker?? Never mind. I figured it out!
  15. I was banded on December 19 and haven't gotten a fill yet. I saw my doctor on Tuesday and thought I'd get a fill then, but I'd lost almost 12 pounds in the 4 weeks since I'd seen him, so he wouldn't give me fill. He told me some of his patients go 4-6 months before their first fill. I've lost 36.2 pounds so far. 14.8 was on the 10 day pre-op diet. My surgery was 6 weeks ago today, so I'm pretty pleased with the progress I'm making.
