I have’t posted here in 7 years, lost my lapband in Dec 2022. I have a gastric sleeve surgery scheduled for may 12th. Lol, not liking this 14 days liquid diet. Only made it through day two so far.

I have had Hypothyroid disease for 5 years now and take the meds daily. I have not had any side effects, also it actually helped me get approved faster for my Lapband surgery. I do stay tired more in the past 5 years and that is a side effect of the slow metabolism. Good Luck and I would go ahead and take your meds.

When I had my band put in on Jan 12, 2009. I had to wait 90 days before a fill, it was what my dr did with all of his surgeries. He said it allowed for all the swelling to go down and for my body to heal. There was times I wanted it filled, but in all I did fine waiting my 90 days. Lisa

I have the realize band and I have 7.5 in my band and I feel restriction. Is there a way you can change Dr's? Maybe go to a different city? I can't believe they are doing a fill without using Xray. Every fill I have had has been under Xray, so he will hit the port the first time. Also, he always pulls out the Fluid to see if the levels was the same as before. I have a feeling he is not hitting your port for the fills. If you don't mind the drive to Huntsville, I could give you my Dr's name and you could see if they take your insurance. Lisa

LOL, I have 2 drawers full and It's still not the same.

Me and Dh has some wild sex and we have never messed with my port, so go and have some fun.

DH and I have always had a great sex life 3+ times a day. But since I have the band and have lost weight, I enjoy it even more and want it more. The only problem now is I'm horny all the time and DH is 26 hours away training. Damn Army messing up my sex life.

My challenge is to workout every day. I will start it today.

I am down 5 pounds and 5 pounds away from my goal.

I'm not at DFW but if you explain to the waiter/waitress they usually willlet you order off the kids menu. Also, when I'm with my husband he orders a large plate and I share with him. Lisa

When I go out to eat I will not let them bring anything for me to drink. Only when I get choked will I take a sip of my husbands.

It's okay I had 1 slice yesterday. When I do eat pizza 1/2 to 1 slice is all I have. Lisa

I'm already having to drive 1 1/2 hours to the dr. We are suppose to be getting one locally that will start soon. I'll probably change after he gets his practice established. My dr now says he will not fill anyone before 90 days. I did not know this before surgery, or I would have looked for a different dr.

I workout Daily no matter what.

I am 87 days since surgery and my dr has yet to do a fill. They finally have one scheduled for the 23rd of April. That is 101 days after surgery. I have been very dissappointed, I thought he would have done a fill by now. I have been struggling for weeks. They only do them under X-ray and he is booked solid for weeks. I may look into changing Dr's since it's hard to get in. The last couple of visit's I've begged for a fill and he wouldn't do it until 90 days after surgery. This is the first dr, I've heard that waited so long to do a fill. Lisa

Yes it's called "Gold's Gym Cardio Workout" It kicked my butt the first time I done it. I got it at Bestbuy for 29.99. Lisa

It has been 5 months since I've had a Diet dr Pepper and I will not chance it at all. I don;t think I could stop at one and I don't want to go back to drinking them. If I was you I wouldn't do it.

I love my Wii fit. I do mainly Aerobic step. When I need a challenge, I make it higher with my regular step. I also have Gold's Gym for my Wii and I like it.
