Hey guys! My rep referred me to Dr. Carter today. She asked me to do whatever research I needed to do and then let her know tomorrow. She said if I'm ok with using him that I could have my surgery on the 14th...which is in two weeks! Please let me know anything and everything about Dr. Carter!

Wow I am really happy to have found this thread. I have been wanting to hear from "real" people on their experiences with TLC Edge. I already went to my initial seminar with them but I have been researching Lap Band for over two years. I will be doing a self pay because my husbands employer put a specific restriction on weight loss surgery. It took me awhile to decide to spend that amount of money on myself. For me it's a hard thing to come to grips with....$10k...On myself??? Ugh!!! Sometimes I feel selfish for even considering spending that much money. But it really boils down to getting this weight off and being a better example for my children. I welcome and ask for any advice on which doctor to choose. I had my Q&A session at the Grapevine office and the ladies there were AWESOME! The three I met all had the procedure and were looking fabulous. So now I just need to call and get this moving. But which doctor...help???

wintobethin, Good Luck with your surgery tomorrow. I wish you all the best. I am in the process of scheduling mine for sometime in late February. Keep us posted on your progress.

How much do the pre-op protien shakes cost?

I have a few questions Im hoping someone can help me answer. How frequent do the bands slip? Im looking at having my surgery done with TLC Edge in Plano, TX....does anyone know anything about them? Is there anywhere I can see detailed ratings of specific doctors? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Christy :shades_smile:
