Can the fluid get caught in the tube and not make it to the band? I have 8cc but no restriction, I'm wondering if I have a kink in my band.

He thinks it is in my head. But after 2yrs I know how I should feel. He is a very strict and stern dr. and I appreciate that, but I know how I should feel.

I have had my band for 2 yrs. Have lost 90 lbs. recentlly I have no restriction. Have 8 cc in a 11cc band. Had upper gi and scope done. Could the fluid be in the tube, and hasn't reached my band? HELP< HELP<HELP

My dr has always been very supportive until recently. I was banded 06/16/07. Lost 110 lbs. Then in Oct 08 had a fill of .25cc. That evening I had no restriction at all. I called my dr. He said it was my imagination. Went back to dr in Jan 09. Only had 2cc in band He put 5cc in. Jan 09 got 2cc. March 1 cc for a total of 8cc in an 11cc band. Still have no restriction. Had upper GI last week, no slippage everything fine. Sat. had scope. No problems. So in my opinion the problem has to be the port or tube. The dr. says no the problem is in my head. But this is my body and I know how I felt (with restriction) prior to what over happened in October. What is your opinion? Has anyone elst had this problem? What should I do?

I too am having a leakage problem. Been going on 3 mos. I have gained 20 lbs. Go to Dr. next week for fluroscope with dye. I have now restriction at all. It is scarey but I know I will lose it once the problem is resolved, even if it requires another surgery. I love my band when it is working. Charlotte

thanks I needed that. I won't give up. Like I said I love this band. Just scared right now. I'll let you know what happens at the next dr visit. Just want restriction. How I would love to get stuck although it hurts I will know that it is working. charlotte

Hello All I was banded June 2007. Have lost 108 lbs. Was doing great till I got a small fill .25cc 2 months ago. Since then I have no restriction. Went back to dr last month. He put in another 5cc. Still nothing. Think I may have a leak or has my band just stopped working. Have an appt Jan 20 for a floroscope, don't know what to expect. If I have to have the whole thing redone, so be it. I love this band, the only thing that has ever worked for me. But I am beginning to feel like I may be fat again, maybe I am doomed to be fat forever. Has anyone out there ever had this problem?
