    What to expect after surgery?

I would say do whatever makes you feel more comfortable. The day after surgery you are mobile to do things on your own. Walking up stairs should not be a problem. As long as you have everything readily accessible for you, it should be a breeze. I definitely agree about the Gas-X. Stock up. I went home the same day, and the next morning I felt so much pressure on my chest. I thought something was wrong. I did not realize it was gas, and my doctor told me to go to emergency as a precaution. I sat there for 4 hours to find out it was just gas. lol. Just try to relax for the few days, have plenty of movies and liquids available. Everyone's recovery is different, but I've noticed that most recoveries are fairly pleasant. Best of luck!

    Surgery Date 9/19/2013

Glad to hear your surgery went well. I had the gas issue too and actually had to go back to the hospital the next day because I had no idea what was going on. Everything turned out fine. Your journey now begins. Good luck!

  10. I was banded 12.10.2008, over a year ago but seems like yesterday.

  11. Looking good. Keep up the good work!

  12. Thanks. So do you, like WHOA! How long ago did you get your band?

  13. Oh okay. When I was in the mushy phase I realized that drinking after made me feel hungry an hour later. So I made sure I drink a lot well before my meal, ate my meal, and felt satisfied for a while. I noticed it helped with the cravings and feeling hungry. When you get your fill the doctor probably isn't going to give you much, to be honest you're probably not going to notice a difference. Each fill he puts in a little at a time, so that it doesn't irritate the stomach and mess up the band. But don't worry, time will fly and you'll be at your happy stage lol.

  14. Hmm. The first few months are going to be that way. It took about 3 or 4 fills for me to fill content. What food stage are you on? I think the lbs you're seeing is probably just water weight, once you begin to exercise that weight will come right off. After the pain went away, I began to do light walking, I think in Week 2. By Week 5 I had a gym membership. Exercise is a key factor to getting that weight off.

  15. Thanks for the pic comment. Hows everything going so far? I'm sure you're going to do great.

  16. Looking good as usual. Hope all is well with you.
