  1. I was like that too during my first fill but I just had my second fill and I can tell you that you will notice a big difference after that. I am up to 6 cc or 6.5 cc and I am lucky to finish a small plate of food. I am really trying to be aware of the types of food I am eating. Eating junk will get me no where so I am really working to eat more filling foods that are better for me. I am really looking at this band as a tool and I am the one that has to decide how to use it. I definitely think it will be a while before I need another fill. I hope we can all stay positive because that is the best way to succeed.
  2. I have been a little bummed lately too as I have only lost 17lbs. But I had only one fill. I just had my second fill and I am noticing a HUGE difference in my ability to eat. I think he filled me to 6cc or 6.5cc. Plus my doctor says that I am probably building muscle since I am consistently working out 3 days a week. I really want to be successful this. For awhile I was struggling with eating the right stuff too. I am getting much better with my choices so I think as that goes on I will lose more too. My husband was banded also and I get jealous because he has lost 50+ pounds already. Feel free to email me anytime also. emw4066@hotmail.com.
  3. I was banded on 03/27 and I am really struggling with the eating to live not living for eating. I am constantly fighting with my want to eat even though I know I am not hungry or I know I will feel uncomfortable. I am hoping with my first fill on 05/06 that the intensity for food will go down but I am really nervous. Plus I have only lost like 9 lbs. I was hoping for at least 15 so far. I know slow and steady wins the race but I am afraid my thoughts of food are going to overtake me. Any suggestions?

  5. March 27th is my day too! I hope all goes well with your surgery. I am trying my best not to be nervous and stick to this terrible pre-op diet. Hopefully I will talk to you again through the the post. Good Luck!:cursing:
  6. Hello. My op date is tomorrow 03/27. I just wanted to see if there are any "band twins" out there. I really want to have buddies going through this with me so say hello if you are out there. :cursing:
  7. The final countdown has begun. I am nervous, but in a good way. Hoping all goes well like it did for my husband. Good luck to everyone!
  8. Well I am not going to be a band twin...but close. I will be banded on 03/27. I am excited and scared. My husband and I are going through this together. He was banded in Dec 08 and has already lost over 40lbs. This is going to be a long haul to the finish line, but I am ready.
