Thanks freckles, I recieved the pics they were really good and it just goes to show Dr. Chris has nothing to hide, and that BBC reporter was way (Weigh he he) out of order in the report and very biased. Did you see the extreme slimmer programme on ITV last night, WOW some of them had lost up to 30 stone, and no one said a bad thing about having a band fitted, so its given me even more incentive, Ive started on a sensible, goodness only type of diet because I felt that motivated. I have also order Ann Diamonds book war on fat (or something like that) so its all good so far. I also read your 'story' on here somewhere, I'm not very good at these forums things in fact this is my first time, so if you find anything good anywhere please share, and tell me in detail how I should go about finding it. No doubt it'll be a bit quieter on here until the girls return with their stories and experiences. xx

I hire cars in France about 10 (yes 10) times a year because I have a holiday home there, if you are flying with Ryan air you can get a discout if you follow the link from Ryan air site and book with Hertz, all the campanile hotels I have used and they are a lot, have car parking facilities, you will need to take a credit card as well as the drivers driving licence with you. please remember you will probably not be able to drive yourself because of the op. if you want more info I'll give it to you here or pm me and I'll give you my mobile no. The closest airport is Brussels International at Zaventem flight from London Heathrow, (mine) Southampton or manchester by easy jet or flybe I booked with flybi heathrow to brussels for two pleople it cost £145(£70 each) return the taxi run from the airport to the campanile hotel is a 10 min ride. hi freckles, the price youve been given is just for the operation I think, my total price was 4070 euros which includes taxi and hotel, but does not include fills. I am aged 51 so luckily have'nt been charged the surchage. I had to send 470 euros when I booked to secure the date and will need to pay 3600 euros to Dr Chris by cash when I get to Belgium. The package is available direct with Frederick Dr Chris' management team. My daughter has had a spire hospital band so it'll be interesting to see if they do things differently in belgium, good luck in getting a quick date

Welcome to this fab thread, I understand that finances are tight, and a few have travelled alone, if you have the management package most of the travel arrangements are taken care of for you excluding the flight, however it would seam that most people need some help at least after they land, so it might work out ok as long as there is someone at the airport to collect you, e.mail Dr. Chris he might give you further information. When are you thinking of booking for. NOTE: I'm not talking from experience because I have'nt undergone the op yet, but good luck and keep intouch I have found this group very supportive.

Still no better news with the euro, so once I'm accepted I'm going to start converting £'s to Euro on a weekly basis, so that if it falls more I'll at least have some purchased but also if it rises I can at least take some benefit from the increase. Still waiting for confirmation with the date so checking my e,mails every few hours.:blushing:

Hi Tropical lagoon, I've just been on the moneysaving expert website to check on the best exchange rate and found that Travel money services 08006129675, and Crown currency exchange 08006127273 are both offering 1.107 which means that 4000 euros work out at about £3600, hope this helps. I have used both before and they delivered free of charge very quickly. It does mean however that you are carrying cash as opposed to using a bank transfer sysytem.
