  1. Sorry I didn't get online last night. I did too much yesterday and was totally zapped. I did errands on my way to the doctors along with walking around a big walmart with some backtracking in the store. I was down 7 pounds since my final weigh-in for pre-surgery. My grand total is 25 lbs since I started this whole process. I am going to take it easy today. Just need to run go pick up a Birthday cake and card for my daughter. I am going to back some low-fat pumpkin bars to bring to my sister-in-laws tomorrow. Tonight I am going to my Mom's to celebrate my daughter's b-day and then christmas with my kids and family. I was disappointed with my weight loss but I have to learn to be patient. I just want it all gone now. lol. I can move on to the muchie stage. I plain on taking it on slow as I know my stomache is not used to that much food right now and would like to try to keep it that way. Tonight will be a very emotional one as I have one son who isn't talking to me will be at my Moms. I can thank my ex for that one. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas or holiday. Laurel
  2. Welcome aboard Allie. China I am doing much better. Still not as strong as I would like to be. I go to the doctors at 2:30pm today. I am hoping to be able to go to muchies. I am enjoying the weight loss of the liquid protein but not in love with the taste. I do have 1 I like but the rest I tolerate. I did go the the gym yesterday and walked a mile on the treadmill. Today I did a 2 mile workout tape I had at home. I was told to walk so I can't see how I would do any harm. I really love doing water arobics and am hoping to be able to get back to that next week. I will post my official post-op weight loss later. Hope everyone has a Great holiday. Laurel
  3. I went grocery shopping today and by time I got home and put everything away I was exhausted. Thank goodness all my shopping was done before surgery. I am going to try to go to the gym tomorrow and walk on the treadmill. It is too cold here to walk outside. I still feel tightness in the band area. I think mine is still some gas. I am so looking forward to getting some energy back and eat some food. I am still on liquids. I go to my doctor on tues. Hope we all getting better and lighter everyday.
  4. My surgery went well also. I am so glad to hear everyone elses did too. I got to finish the book I was reading at the hospital but mostly because I was stuck in bed in the recovery room with no TV. They didn't have a bed for me so I had to wait over 10 hours there in bed. Hope everyone is still doing well, I am just waiting for the gas to finish passing other than that I am doing fine. :smile2:
  5. Hi all, I was banded on 12/15 and was home yesterday by noon. Surgery went perfect. Just waiting for the gas to pass now. They kept me in bed until midnight because lack of a bed for me and was stuck in recovery. I had my gall bladder out in 2000 and feel this is much less. I am looking forward to a healthly 2009. Good luck to all.:smile2:
  6. :thumbup:Hi all, I have my banding date of 12/15. The only thing I have left to do is get my dr. clearance and go for the final weigh in. I had to loose 10-15 lbs and I know I have already lost atleast 10 but will continue my medifast liquid diet until my surgery. They don't make this an easy road at all but I am looking forward to a new life.
  7. It is very hard to stay on a liquid diet when you still are hungry. I am trying to stay focused by thinking about the weight I am losing now. Less for later. My surgeon told me the more weight you lose, the easier it is for her and the healing will go much quicker for me. Although I am only on day 5. I am in New Jersey here.
  8. Stay strong. We are all looking forward to the 15th.
  9. I had my last test today. Still need my medical clearance and my final weigh-in is 12/12. I also need to have lost 10 lbs by then. My doctor has us do liquid medifast diet for the 2 weeks prior to surgery. I did weigh myself at the hospital today and I am already down 10lbs. I will continue the liquid diet. It took by a day to get used to the taste now it isn't bad at all. I feel like I always am running some where for this. I am also trying to get water aerobics in too. I am getting excited too. :scared2::cursing:
  10. My date is also dec. 15th. I still have pre-op tests to do and one other test. I started my liquid medifast diet today. They ask that i loose 10lbs. After all this running around I will not let anything stop me now. Who knew it would this much work just to get to this point. I am excited to start a new (skinnier) phase of my life.
