  2. I had the same problem, until my Dr. stated a small bite was the size of the tip of your pinky. Having this info. made eating so much easier. Good luck!

  4. I have had a sore throat for a few weeks & my band has been really tight. I have had a fever w/it as well so I know its not reflux or allergies. Has anyone else experienced this, or is this my imagination?
  5. I also was lucky enough for this to fall on this time. Just a warning that the Lovenox shots or whatever blood thinner your doc. orderes will make it much worse. So be prepared!!
  6. Dont stress, you can still eat most of your favorite foods just very little of them and in strict moderation. Remember this is a tool, to help, let it do its job.
  7. My bariatric coordinator always recommends a fill after 10lbs. & if you are hungrey after 4 hours & eating 1 cup of food. A small fill should help.
  8. I went recently to check on removing my vericose veins & have several spider that I wanted removed. The doctor said to wait until I loose some more weight becasue as I loose & the skin becomes thinner more veins are gonna show up. Good Luck!!

  12. Ok I was banded 12/08. Starting today I am going to try your approach. I have been eating 3 meals & 1 snack, working out 5 days a week and only losing 1-2lb if Im lucky per week. You are truly an inspiration! Awsome Job!!!
  13. Ive gone to a gym for 2 weeks and have gained 3.5lbs since starting. Im doing the eliptical & treadmil. Any ideas as to what might be going on other than building muscle mass?
  14. Yes I very much can feel my port lying or standing up. Its just below my ribcage, it is very hard.

  16. I live across the bridge & had it done at Clark Memorial by Dr. McMillian. Staff & hosp. were great. They have a program with a bariatric coordinator who you see weekly to help you for the first 12 weeks. They also have monthly support groups. Good luck & look around.

  18. I was also banded on 12/16 & I have lost 17lbs., Ive noticed alot of people have lost more. Am I doing somehthing wrong? I have not gone off of my diet at all. HELP!
  19. Not exercising yet, but just about back to my old self today. Feeling so much better. 10lbs. down, also on a full liq. diet.
  20. Here is another one. I had mine done @9am on Tues. Dec. 16th. Im back at work today, still w/alot of port site pain. Otherwise doing pretty good. It will be nice to keep up with you'all and see the progression made by us all. Good luck Shelly
