  1. I had a lap band placed 2008, could never tolerate the adjustments would have horrible reflux that was only relieved with an unfil. I had a UGI & EGD at the beginning of this year and have teritiary contractions which is causing the reflux and I was told the band would need to come out. I was told by the first MD that if I had another surgery that the reflux would continue. I was told by another MD that removing the band would stop this from happening and they suggested converting to a sleeve. Has anyone had this scenario and if so did the reflux improve? Not looking forward to another surgery, but the band has never worked well for me.
  2. Wow thats all I can say, you look great!!
  3. I had the same problem, until my Dr. stated a small bite was the size of the tip of your pinky. Having this info. made eating so much easier. Good luck!
  4. What about your gallblader, do you still have it? Ive read that w/fast weight loss sometimes that will affect your GB. Just a thought.
  5. I did call 407-934-7639 & they let you pay so much down & then pay the rest before you go. Also Allears.net is a great website. Good luck.
  6. I have had a sore throat for a few weeks & my band has been really tight. I have had a fever w/it as well so I know its not reflux or allergies. Has anyone else experienced this, or is this my imagination?
  7. I also was lucky enough for this to fall on this time. Just a warning that the Lovenox shots or whatever blood thinner your doc. orderes will make it much worse. So be prepared!!
  8. I eat the same thing everyday B-Fast 1/2 cup cottage cheese w/fruit Lunch 1 cup of tunafish Dinner 1 small piece of chicken w/swiss cheese & a small baked potato Snack skim milk
  9. Dont stress, you can still eat most of your favorite foods just very little of them and in strict moderation. Remember this is a tool, to help, let it do its job.
  10. My bariatric coordinator always recommends a fill after 10lbs. & if you are hungrey after 4 hours & eating 1 cup of food. A small fill should help.
  11. I went recently to check on removing my vericose veins & have several spider that I wanted removed. The doctor said to wait until I loose some more weight becasue as I loose & the skin becomes thinner more veins are gonna show up. Good Luck!!
  12. I had to put on a band aid to prevent my bra from rubbing in that area.
  13. Thanks thats a big help! Im going to really try to follow your "plan". Im really bad at figuring out couting calories & fat if I prepare the food & not eat pre-packaged crap. Thanks for the help!!
  14. Would it be too much to ask what kind of menu you eat daily?
  15. Ok I was banded 12/08. Starting today I am going to try your approach. I have been eating 3 meals & 1 snack, working out 5 days a week and only losing 1-2lb if Im lucky per week. You are truly an inspiration! Awsome Job!!!
