  3. Linnylou, i will turn 62 on Saturday and i was just banded 2 weeks ago. Our journey may take a little longer than the younger ones but you have lost 65 pounds. i think that is great i hope i will do as well. In our meetings prior to surgery we were told the weight lose for the band is slow. So keep up what you are doing.
  4. i know i am new here and and getting great information, i was wondering do any of you have a support group that you attend? I go every month when not working it is a part of my surgery support?
  5. MJACOT35 thank a lot, it helps to hear from someone who has been there. I see my doctor tomorrow , it will be 2 weeks since surgery.lost 10 pounds.
  6. if your doctor thinks it good for you go for it. I am 62 and was just banded 2 weeks ago so i really can't help with the diet but i will say this is one of the best things i have ever done. age has no part in this it is what you want and what is best for you. Good luck
  7. i did really good over thanksgiving, pureed the turkey added gravy a small amount of mashed potatoes and i was set. try to think positive thoughts, think ahead to good health. I lost 10 pounds in two weeks and that is something to cheer about for me, don't know how i will feel in 6 months.
  8. Hi , i was banded on 11/18 i seem to be able to eat most soft foods i really don't seem to need mushed food, i am worried i am going to fast. Also can we have a hot beverage, i really miss my coffee, i know that is not good but how about cocoa?
  9. there is a good site lap-band solutions i found a good menu of what you can have, i am just going to stage two. had a scrambled for lunch . good luck.

  11. hi i am new here banded 6 days ago, i don't understand how can we eat anything, i thought it was going to take a long time, i know about the fills, but it doesn't seem like to much bothers any of you, please help a newbie
  12. Hi i am one week out from banding, i know what you mean about head hunger. I am not hungry but i really want food. I am still on liquids and seem to spend most of my time in the bathroom as soon a i take anything out it comes.Really not looking forward to thanksgiving.
  13. Hi everyone, i have sleep apnea for 5 years, do any of you wake up with headaches. i seem to do this a lot. i use a c pap machine
  14. Today is my fourth day post op. I really feel good. The best advice is get up and walk, walk ,walk.And try to keep a positive outlook. Give it time .
  15. Hi first time using this site, not really sure how it works. I had my lap band on Nov. 19th. They had to repair a hital hernia , didn't know i had it. But all went well and i am feeling really good.
