  1. I was just wondering what everyone's week 2 diet was? Did you stick to the script or change it up a bit? What was the portion size?
  2. Im only a week after surgery and ive been thinking about the foods im going to miss. Of course with it being Thanksgiving and all I get to see them on display everywhere I turn. Maybe its a withdrawl mental thing, i dont know. My will power is strong so I will be fine. My question is growing up in the south i have grown acustom to loving tortilla chips (nachos, dips, salsas, chalupas) what has been your experience with tortilla chips post surgery. Of course past the post op diets and phases. Once you're on full foods. Is it something that is done without all together? Is ok for the band if broken down enough? They are so delicious to me. Thanks
  3. Thank you so much for this info. God this make me feel alot better.
  4. Thanks for your posts. I was starting to freak out. Living in San Antonio i gotta have my mexican food. It's a way of life banded or not. I can handle limited quantities but none all together i might have to talk to the surgeon to schedule a removal

    Banded today!!

Hi guys, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jason and was banded today. I'm a long time browser but first time poster. I have to admit alot of the info I've read on this site has really gotten me really for this new journey in my life and I really appreciate it. I'm 27 years old and live in San Antonio. I have a wife and 18 month old daughter with a son on the way coming next March. My family is my main reason for getting the surgery with a close second being for myself. I really want to be here for my children for the long haul and if I didn't make major changes I would have missed out I feel. I feel more soreness than pain for any of you soon to be bandster. I have been able to have beef broth and sugar free Jello. GasX strips have been a life saver for sure! Thanks for all the support.
  7. I was banded nov 21st and gas x has been a life saver. I have the next week off of work for thanksgiving holiday so I dont have the run to the restroom i just let it fly if you know what i mean. My main concern coming up is breaking the news to my family over thanksgiving. What are they gonna think about it or me. Normally I'm the one chugging beers/overeating anything and everthing but i guess thats what got me in this situation in the first place. This first week I am too on the all liquid diet. Hopefully I might be able to get at least some yummy mash potatoes by thursday.
