  1. Sorry, but I am 10 months out and still doing it! It was less until I had my first fill, now more often. As long as the pounds come off, I will deal with it. Barb
  2. Hi, I had my first fill and I was ok for the about 2 weeks and then I have been having trouble eating. I eat a little and it get's stuck! Is this normal? I like feeling full, better than tight! I have been trying to eat slower and it is helping. Good luck, Barb

  4. Hi All, My Dr will not give a fill, when you are losing weight. The band did a good job for me, for 9 months! I have also been using an exercise bike. Then it just happened, I would eat my mean and 2 hours later I would have to eat again! That was not good, I put back 4 pounds! So, I said it is time for a fill. I have a standard size (10cc) band and I now have 3cc in it. It was empty until I had the fill. Good luck to all, Barb
  5. Hi, You need to drink the protein shakes! That is the only way to get the protien, you need to heal! It takes time, the pain will go away. Good luck! Barb
  6. Yes, It works! I have lost 86 pounds in nine months. I just had my first fill and I hope to lose more. Good Luck! Barb
  7. It has been 9 months and I am going for my first fill on 8/17. I have a 10 cc band in me and I also have to go to xzay to have it done. I do not like needles! I new that I would have to have fills when I got my band, but I still do not like needles! I was told that I will be on liquids for 2 days after.
  8. I wait 1 hour after eating to drink and I do not have acid reflex. I can not eat bread, so I do not even try! I once tried drinking when I was stuck and that was the worst thing I could have done! I normally can eat most foods. Maybe, I am just changing. barb
  9. Hi, My band normal works like yours. But, in the last week, I have had some problems with food getting stuck/PBing. Has this happened to anyone else? Barb
  10. Hi, I am almost at the 9 month point and I have not had a fill! But, in the last week, I have had some problems with food getting stuck/PBing. Has this happened to anyone else? Barb

  14. Hi, I had my surgey almost 9 months ago! This was the best thing I did for me. I also thought about what I would not be eating anymore and it was scary to me. But I had the surgey anyway! The only thing that I have trouble with eating is bread. So I don't eat it! I do wraps or peita bread. Soda is not in my vocabulary anymore, and I don't miss it. I drink a pitcher of crystal light every day. I am doing great and so will you. Don't think about the food, think about all the new clothes you will be buying. Barb
  15. If you go to Quick Links and then to Edit Signature, then click on the link to the tracker, put in your password, you will then be able to update it. Good luck Barb

  18. Hi, I started at 359 and it is 3 months later and I have lost 44 pounds. It only happened because I am exercising every day! Are you exercising?
  19. I went for my 3 month check up and the scale read 302. I was hoping it would be under 300, but I will take 302. But, I am so looking forward in seeing that scale read 299.
  20. I have only 7 more pounds to go, and I will be under 300. I can not wait!!! Good luck to all, Barb
  21. SIUH has a very good support group and they will be meeting 1/7 at 6pm. As for the boring food, look at it this way, you are 1 week down. I known I just wanted to get through those first 6 weeks after banding. Now, I am eatting normal foods but in alot smaller portion. Keep up the good work, Barb
  22. Hi Beth, Yes, I had lost 13 pounds before surgery. I have to be at work for 8am, so I eat when I get there. I also can't eat as soon as I get up. As for lunch and dinner, I eat chill or stews and I freeze some of it for later. I make chicken, turkey and beef. I add salad to get my veggies in. I try not to eat dinner to early, or I am hungry by 11pm. And of course exercise! Something I never did before. Any weight off is a great job! Good luck on your journey, Barb
  23. Stop kicking yourself! :tt2: It is not easy for any of us. You are trying to change a life time of bad habits. It takes time to learn new ones. You have two freinds that will help you get back on track. Talk to them and ask for the help you need. Good luck, Barb
