  1. i finally broke my plateau of 250. I made it to 248. It took almost a month but I finally did it. Also I went to a support group a couple days ago. It was horrible! The doctor, nurse and nutritionist could not make it due to the 200 mile travel in bad weather. So they has a local doctor show and he just does the fills. He is new to the area also. Their was only 2 of us that showed up. The other gal was not to encouraging. I don't think I will go to another one of those again.
  2. Thank you all for your ideas!! I will get started on them. I also enjoy reading your posts. It is encouraging to me.
  3. I am so descouraged. I can't seem to break the 250 mark. 1 month of ups and downs but no 249. I keep thinking back to when I had gotten down to a size 10 a few years ago and as usual put it back on. I am sure this band will help keep it off when I get down there. Thats what this is all about right? I found that the diet lemon pie is wonderfull. I got the recepe off this site. Really hits the spot when I am craving sweets.
  4. I think I will have to try the water and jumping jack trick myself. I have had alot of trouble with the unhealthy snacking. I have two teens who are very supportive accept they don't want to give up their junk foods. So it is in the house still. If I have a craving I don't have far to go to find it. I haven't lost any weight in a month. Well, I havn't gained any either. Any idea's?
  5. THAT IS GREAT!!! Hi I am Melissa. Did you realize that is 80 pounds is 320 cubes of butter? That is awsome. :cursing:
  6. Hello everyone!! My name is Melissa and I am from Montana. I am happy to find a thread that is for us July 08 bandsters. I am 36 and a single mother of 2 teens. They are both very supportive about this whole picture and excited for when I “get skinny” so we can do things together. It is nice to have teens that still care about that. I was banded on July 27.08. Dr Rohrer in Greatfalls MT did my surgery. He is an awesome surgeon, and has a great bedside manner too. I have lost 30 pounds and it has been an uphill battle. I have had 3 fills, all 3cc’s each. My last fill was in mid November and I noticed a major difference. I started at 284 pounds and am glad to be down the 30 pounds but wish it were more. I will keep trying. I look forward to visiting with you all. Thank you.

  9. I had my band put in July 2008 and I have had 3 fills with 3 cc's each time. I am FINALLY able to feel the restriction. I keep forgetting to ask my doctor what size band I have. The little card the doctor gave me says "LAP-BAND AP LRG WITH ACCESS PORT 1" What does that mean? What is the max it can hold?
  10. i am from the flathead valley and had my lapband done on 7/27/08. i understand there is a support group that will meet at the summit in december. what day and what time. i would like to come.
