  1. I had my surgery Nov 4th and I wondered the same thing about my stomach. I felt like I looked pregnant, but I was not. It has now been a little over 3 weeks and it has gone down a lot. I still think it is bigger than normal, but nothing like soon after the surgery. Just give it time, it does go down.
  2. I had my surgery done in Mexico on November 4th. I went to Dr. Kuri. It was $7,500 which included ride from airport to and from the hospital, 2 nights stay in hospital and 2 nights stay after in a hotel (if wanted). I figured I was spending the money and I stayed the extra 2 nights in the hotel. Everything went perfect I could not have been happier. The doctor, hospital and hotel were four star quality. You can look him up (google Dr Kuri and the lap band). The Dr and his assistants were great they helped with everything. I have had zero complications and everything is healing well. They give you everything needed (your xray, band info all surgery info) to come back to the states and give to your doctor you choose to see. If you have any others questions feel free to ask!!!:cool2:
  3. I never heard or saw that my port would leak and my port never leaked. I am not a doctor but that sounds strange.
  4. I flew 5 days after my surgery and had zero problems. Just bring your own food or drinks:thumbup:
  5. Are you down from from 305 to 277 since your surgery Nov 4th?? I also had my surgery Nov 4th in Mexico. Since that date I am down 9.5lbs. You would make me feel as if I am not doing something right if you have lost that much weight in a little over a week. I wonder if we met????
  6. I was banded Nov 4th and have lost 9.5lbs since then (How much has everyone else lost since there surgery). I would like to know how I am doing. I am still a little sore, but have never taken the pain meds. The thing that actually hurts the worst is my back. I think because of the hospital bed and everything and I already have a bad back. :thumbup:I am able to have liquids and mushy in about a week, Yeah. I have made some really good soups and I eat the runny part and the family eats the chunky, it has worked out great.
  7. I agree that you should check with your surgeon, but I wanted to let you know that I had my surgery Nov 4th, 2008 and I have had a couple drinks since. I still can't recall any of my papers saying that I could not. I have not pushed it and drank anything and everything. I have had a glass of wine and a margarita. I have had zero problems from doing this. Just remember if you are eating not to drink with it, you will get way to full and your not suppose to.
