  1. Hi...I am currently waiting for my surgery and I am also haveing the same doubts and concerns as you had. How did go for you? I would love to hear from you.
  2. My surgery is going to be at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia SC.
  3. I am currently on the pre-surgery diet that is supposed to shrink the fatty deposits of your liver so that it isn't so brittle when they move it for surgery. I was told in very strict terms that If the surgeon opens you up and your liver is still full of fatty tissue that makes it a riskier surgery...they won't hesitate to close you back up and deny you the surgery. Personnally I have fought too hard to get my insurance to approve the surgery to take any chances. I will stick to this pre-surgery diet until the day of my surgery and then abide by the rules afterwards not only because I want to be thinner, but also because my life and health depend on it. This is your life and health at risk...you are doing something about it...don't take a chance that it will be taken away from you. Hope this helps.
  4. Hi..I am new here. My lap band surgery is scheduled for November 20th. I am very excited! It took me months to fight with my insurance...but I finally won! Yippee!!!! I have never faught so hard for something in my life...but I believe it will be worth it.
