OMG! Where to begin? What is wrong with some people? I hate people who do things "for your own good". First my mother: She has decided that I need the surgery because my ex-husband's new wife was banded. They were sleeping together for 4 years while we were married. Mamma never before mentioned that I might need something as drastic as surgery before this. Now she is broad casting to the whole family "Marcia is going to have surgery!" It's like she always has to be one up on this lady. I wish she would get over it already! Second my ex-boyfriend: He is probably really the one who finally made my decision for me. Please don't think I am bragging, but I make pretty good money. I fianlly realized that was why he was so in "love" with me. He made several comments along the lines of "I wish you were the size you were when we first got together" "You do realize you are a big girl, don't you?" "I can tell you are putting on weight every time you get on top". All this while his stomach was three times the size it started out to be. But he never turned down a trip or a gift that I paid for. Sorry, I didn't mean to write a book! I could vent all day.

Hello everyone. I would like to become friends with all of you, I may be screaming "HELP" before this is all over. Just some quick background: I work for USDA and have been relocated for about 2 1/2 years. I have been thinking for quite some time about being banded, but don't know or trust any doctors in Kentucky. And, I don't know how long I will be in this area. A friend is using Dr. Groves and shared her experiences with me. Later I found out my Mom used him for hernia surgery. It seemed like everything just fell into place with the appointments (I am making everything for the same days so I only have to make one trip). The insurance looks great. And I will be home for the surgery so my Mom can help. (Did I say "help", I should have said "hover"!) In any case, just wanted to say hello and let you know who I am. HEY YA'LL!

I won't miss Looking in the mirror and being surprised because I didn't realize I was really that big Always being surprised at my double chin in pictures Having the sleeves too tight in long sleeved shirts Having pants way too long to get them wide enough Not being able to wear a leather jacket that doesn't look like a tent Buying Stretch jeans so I can say I wear a smaller size Ankles swelling up about an hour after I wake up Being asked by my ex "you do know you are a big girl, don't you?" Wondering if men are really interested or just making conversation Sitting with my legs hooked under me because I can't cross them without leaning sideways So many other things that it would take an hour to type them up:mad:
