hi guys, am due to be banded on the 19th by Dr. Dillemans in Brugges. as you all are, am anxious, scared but cannt wait to for my new me... my hubby is very worried as well and am spending time convincing him i will be fine!! which hosp does Dr Chris operate from... anywhere near sint jans?? we could all get together... am arriving in belgium on the 18th

good on you girl... i have a friend waiting eagerly for my size 20 jeans and tops as soon as i cannt fit into them... in the past she wouldnt have even given it a thought! and i havent been banded yet... due on the 19th with Dilemmans in Brugges

the prob is that in nairobi they wouldnt have the slightest idea what i was talking about! am not worried about fills - just the risk that comes from flying for 8hrs... thats what the concern is about

Hi all, i live in the UK and am about to go to brugges in Belgium for my band, however i have been made aware about the risks from travelling (esp long haul travel)! Anyone with any experience with this... i should do alot of travel which involves 8hr flights to africa for long periods of like 3 months... my consultant nurse says not to worry as it would only affect me immediately after a re-fill? is there reason to worry? i am at a point where am thinking of changing and have a by-pass which i think is more intrusive than a Lap Band... anyone out there with experience in travelling and is banded please get back to me... am due to be banded on the 19th!

Hi there, yes, i know what you mean, i tried my GP and he wouldnt hear none of it.. I booked to go to Belgium to Dr. Dillemans in Brugges on the 19th! keep me posted on progress.. and we will compare notes good luck

Hi there, am interested in this but was told that its not the best option? what has your experience been so far? I am really interested as am wondering about the fuss with the aftercare for the band and the chances of slippeage during long haul airtravels... would love to hear from you Thanks
