  1. Seriously, I have to wonder it I wasted my time and money on the lap band procedure. I was banded November 4th and I have only lost about 12 lbs post op and 10 lbs pre-op. Granite my father died a few weeks ago and I didn't really comply with the diet, however I've been back on track now and I am just not seeing a weight loss. I have been filled twice for a total of 1.6cc in my 10cc band. I am really starting to wonder if the lap band is right for me. I really want to make it work, I barely have any restriciton at all and If it weren't for LBT, I think I would have given up by now.
  2. Thanks to everyone for your kind words of encouragement. My father would've wanted to see me healthy and I will push on. I just miss him so dearly, I am so blessed to have found this forum as it really gives me the strength to keep on truckin' Thanks again.
  3. My father died of metastatic lung cancer last Thursday and we burried him yesterday. I am so hurt right now. I just got banded in November and now I feel so selfish. Why should I care about myself? My dad just died. This is not making sense but it's how I feel. Man, I'm so hurt right now.
  4. thank you all for your responses. Today is a new day and I will get through this trying time. You all are awesome!0

  7. Hi. I was banded on November 4th and I haven't been following the post op diet. My MD had me on clears for 2 weeks now I'm on soft foods. Here's my problem, my father has just been diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer and was given a couple of months to live. He was diagnosed shortly after my surgery and now I'm eating out of stress. I really want this badly and now I'm afraid that I could hurt my band. I am a registered nurse and I know better. Please don't judge me. I will get back on track today, no more cheating. Any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Yes I too I have the same problem. I was banded on Nov 4th and now I feel I can eat as I did before surgery. I have no restriction at all. It can be very discouraging. I get my first fill on Dec.5th. I hope this will help. My doctor said that he will only put in 1cc my first fill. Is this typical?
