  1. Kaninag, Congratulations to you and congrats on the 64 lbs gone!! I know this is a great accomplishment for you and you are such a motivator to the rest of us!! Keep up the good work, Kaninag!!:w00t:
  2. Hey all, Just checking in to say HI. Nulife, glad you found this spot, I have found this thread to be extremely helpful. I am going for my 2nd fill on 02-03-09 and quite honestly I cant tell that I have the first fill. which is depressing to me, of course I want everything instant and thats not going to happen either, I know! Jason, glad to know you are still out there and doing well, actually you are doing great. I will be so excited when I lose 60. Everyone take care and hope to speak to you all real soon!
  3. THANKS for all of the support. Well I really dont think I am getting as much water as I need, I can drink about 25-45 oz a day but not the 64 as required. I do take vitamins and I am working on getting my protein up to 64 a day. I think I overate last night while out with friends. I am still feeling full from this, but no reflux or anything else. Did you feel the restriction immediately or was it a delayed thing? I am going to try my best and make the meeting if I dont have to work and I look forward to meeting many of you.
  4. Hey Yall, I hope that everyone is having a Great New Year! I had my first fill yesterday. 4CC worth. I seem to be doing ok, I just feel a little strange. I am able to swallow and eat but definately not as much as before. I just seem a little tired. Is this normal? I hope you all have a great day!
  5. Hey Yall., Just wanted to check in . Dianne- I saw your ticker--You are doing great and To all you other folks who have lost over 50lbs, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK:smile2: I cant wait until I am able to lose 50, I know I will feel so much better physically and mentally. I am not sure if I will be able to make the Dec 20th meeting, All of our Christmas gatherings start this day and We have obligations everyday after until the 27th. Since I havent had my first fill yet, I am hoping to be able to keep the reins on the appetite. MY first fill is the 5th on Jan. Any Holiday tips and how to handle the pressure from everyone who expects your plate to be full of food? I havent told many that I have had this done!
  6. Hey Yall, Back from the beach and had a blast. Jason I am soooooooooo proud of you. I knew you could do it. Everyone keep up the good work. I see the lbs keep coming off. Kan-I was reading about being careful when you do situps, and twisting the port, but sometimes on this site, there are so many different experiences that I could become paraniod reading them all. Maybe its nothing, just a heavy workout--at least I hope so for you. I dont know about you all, but I tend to trust the advice that comes from our Thread more than others. Hope you all have a great day!
  7. After you get your ticker made out, copy and paste in where your put your signature.
  8. Diane I too will be at the beach and I am sooooo looking forward to the time away! As you all know I am 13 days post op, and I have been reading about band slippage. I am not eating what I shouldnt but am worried when I eat mushies and then progress onto solids that it will slip. If it does slip will you know it? Did any of you have that concern? I have read of folks who didnt follow the diet or was told by their DR that they could eat solids earlier and they seem to be doing well. Did you all stray or were you all compliant with the DR orders? I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
  9. I hear ya!! I too am ready for the mushies. I have taken a few bites of creamed potatoes really smooth and tolerated this great and this made my tummy stop growling. Its been so embarassing at work to hear it rumble. Has anyone else had this problem?
  10. Glad to see I am not the only one, Thanks, I am trying to do everything I was told to do, but this is a little bit annoying. Hope your day was GREAT!:cursing:
  11. Hey Yall, Nice to read all the talk posted recently. Jason--keep it up, You are doing great.:cursing: Yesterday, I went and had the staples removed, no pain just a slight pinch. i am wondering if anyone has nagging pain-sensation where the port area is. I do not know if it is gas or what but it is bothersome. ANY suggestions? I met a few folks yesterday at the office and urged them to get online and meet with this fine group of folks in our thread.
  12. snowflake, :thumbup:GOOD luck on your finals!! YOU CAN DO IT:thumbup:
  13. CD, Hang in there, sounds like you are doing great. Snowflake, Sounds like you have your schedule full and this might be causing extra stress on you, Dianne is right, take some time for you. You have come this far, Keep up the good fight.
  14. Hey Yall, I was just reading last pages posts and I am glad to see that everyone is doing fine. I was looking at the weight loss tickers and all the lbs lost add up to a good sum, sooooooooo WAY TO GO FOLKS The idea about a Pre-Thanksgiving rally is a good one, to keep us all motivated and on the same page. I have been cooking still and I wont tell you what, but lets just say its sinful and I havent wanted to taste any of it..I hope that feeling keeps up.... of course I am sure being less than a week post op is what is causing this. I was thinking that maybe at the next meeting we could all find a way to get together and introduce ourselves to each other. Everyone take care and hope to talk to you all again soon.
  15. :smile2: Prayers for you and yours. Things will be fine. I am s few days post op and doing fine and I hope that You will do well also. Take care and talk to you soon:smile2:
